Rooms are old for the money and smelly. Location is good but needs a renovation. City hotels newer for the same cost.

Disappointing stay
When checking in we asked for a bottle of champagne to be sent up before we went out for dinner -it never arrived. We advised staff upon checkout & turns out it wasn't even ordered - not even an apology. Lifts in the mornings were a nightmare - waiting up to 10 minutes each time & when they did arrive they were already full. The breafast area is very disorganized with not enough staff - irate guests everywhere. The lineup for breakfast on the second morning was huge so we paid for breakfast at the cafe rather than standing in line forever to get the breakfast that was included with our room. Whilst out for breakfast we were locked out of our room even though we had an 11am checkout. On top of this was $45 per night for parking. Very disappointing all round. Won't be coming back.

Great Hotel - poor time to do renovations
Busy Anzac day long weekend and one lift out of order for repairs and one on exclusive use! Never a good time for these things but sure not the Anzac day long weekend. Everything else to the high Novotel standards

Perfect location for access to Pyrmont businesss m
It was nice to get a harbour view on 8th floor however the best thing about this stay was the great convenience of being in walking distance to my business meeting. The hotel is clearly recently refurbed or in the process of and has a 'hip decor' in the lobby area. The check in lady could not have been more polite or helpful. Good breakfast offering the room was dark and quiet for a great nights sleep

Long Weekend Stay
Rooms in serious need of refurbishment. Reception staff diffident. Room Maids very good. Breakfast buffet limited and many items seemed frozen thawed rather than fresh. Elevator service diabolical - unacceptable waiting time, need at least twice as many for such a large hotel capacity. No internal stairwell. Despite Accor Plus and apparent star rating, no niceties like turndown service, complementary water etc. Bathroom shampoo but no conditioner! Great harbour view if lucky! Originally given dank partial view room despite expected booking! Upgraded after complaint. Our rating no better than 3 star, when compared to recent hotel stays in Asia and US!
