Big room with great view.
Spacious and clean room overlooking the marina. Nice breakfast buffet. Walk along the boardwalk to the breakwaters for an excellent ocean view. Children's playground, supermarket and pharmacy nearby.

Poor service, dirty bathtub, smoke smell
I have expressed that it was our anniversary celebration and we would like to have a late checkout under the note in the reservation. However, nothing was mentioned when we checked in. I had to ask again on the spot, the receptionist said it's subject to availability and advised us to ask again on the next day after 10am. There was supposed to be a welcome drink while we waited at the lobby but none was served. Boo. Our room looked the same as those in the pictures, facing the marina. But the view was partially blocked by 2 tall trees. All the rooms are located in the 3rd floor. The anti-slip rug in the bathroom was horrendously dirty with black spots. Also, the room is supposed to be non-smoking yet we could smell 2nd hand smoke for HOURS in the afternoon and also the next morning. Really terrible. I did not expect this from a hotel located at Sentosa Cove. The next morning, our late check-out was denied when we went to the reception at 10am. We were 1h late from 12pm check-out, and the receptionist told me that the manager wanted to charge us a late check-out fee. "Our manager is very angry", she added. But she did not charge us in the end. At that point, I told myself that I will never be back. Firstly, they never bother about the note I left in the reservation. They could have taken the initiative to advise us regarding the late check-out policy when we checked in, instead of me having to ask. Also, they could also make up with small gesture such as 'Happy Anniversary' card in the room, etc. Nothing was done on their part, except for providing us a not-very-clean room with partially blocked view, room full of smoke smell when our neighbour/passerby smokes.

The buffet spread during breakfast was superb! Otherwise everything else was satisfactory. We had expected the pool to be slightly bigger and less crowded though.

A restful staycation
The room is sizeable, though trendy it was not practical. 1. The sink tap so low almost touching the base of the sink. So it's impossible to fill up the kettle and had to use the bath tub. 2. There is a frosted glass screen that separates the bathroom from the bedroom, in the middle of the night when the toilet lights is turn on - it is so bright that wakes up sleeper. We had lunch @ Latitude and we mentioned to the waitress that there was a fly flying around and she just shrug it off. My concern was the buffet spread during lunchtime. The hotel has a schedule shuttle bus that will bring you to Vivo City otherwise it will be a distance to the nearest monorail. The surrounding ambiance was quiet and relaxing.
