Wonderful hotel, I will definitely return and reco
I booked the hotel for it's location as we were visiting family - I had forgotten it was Valentines weekend so I was very impressed with the price I got and we had a wonderful 2 nights at the hotel. The spa facilities are lovely. I was very impressed with the gym, it was a great size with a lot of equipment for a hotel gym. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay again when we come to visit our family and will recommend to other friends and family.

Great location. Old rooms
Location, Privacy and environment
Service is poor but nothing unusual and as expected from England and especially hotels in the Leeds area. Stayed at a few 4 stars and they all have the same problem with staff attitude. The rooms are old with cheap furniture and not the best for business stop over. If I stay there again it will simply be for the location as it suits my early start. The room was Not worth the money.

Good location, great grounds and friendly staff.
I enjoyed the spa at the Oulton hall and the building is impressive but the food is very poor standard.

Great Deal - special offer dinner, bed , breakfast
Nice location, with character
Room - rather dated, no fridge, insufficient lifts, long walk to room, No relaxing area/bar for general use (prices very expensive) Gym / pool adequate Dining room - chairs need replacing some very wobbly! waiting staff very friendly lighting in dining room could do with updating Breakfast - squashed in corner - needs better location for ease of flow of people. Tables very near to food area which was very inconvenient for those eating their breakfasts

Right location
Good breakfast
Very disappointed with our visit this time. The room was very tired and there was a smell of drains the bathroom. The cleaner woke us up before 9.00 to clean the room and knocked again at 10.30 before we were ready to leave. This is not acceptable as checkout is not until 11.00 . We did inform reception about this . We will probably not use this hotel in the future despite having stayed there several times.

stately home hotel
setting
hotel is a former stately home or that is the impression you get. Located in a parkland setting with golf course surrounding the hotel. Rooms are OK but nothing special and breakfast is typical english buffet style. If you intend using the hotel bar and / or restaurant then check your overdraft facility first the price of drinks are extortionate with a typical 330ml bottle of beer cost ing just short of a fiver.
