Proximity to public transport, shopping, restaurants. Good cocktails and potato wedges. Our first room was economical on space and was located above restaurant rubbish skip which was emptied at 4am one morning. No real view to speak of from room. Whole hotel was very clean and tidy. Our first room was rather small but when the aircon failed at 3.30am, overheating the room, we were moved (by 4am) to a very spacious room with nice view of the courtyard. Had service above expectation from bar manager who makes excellent cocktails. Would stay here again but would ask for larger room.
Restaurant Tip : Only 2 blocks to food markets and many restaurants. Try the Crispy Duck at Ky Chow (Gouger Street)

Jonathan at reception was extremely helpful, he gave us a beautiful studio with a huge balcony overlooking the courtyard.
Travel tip : The Central Markets is a must, fantastic experience for all your senses. We visited the zoo and had a close encounter with the orangutans. Worth every penny, next time we will do the " big cats."
