Home from home.
Quiet location, lovely garden, friendly owners
8.3
There are a few different places to stay at Ford House and we were in the Rose room in the main house, which was built in 1894. It was a bit of a surprise to find the room was not en-suite but this did not spoil our stay in this lovely old house. There was everything you could want in the kitchen if you wanted to cook for yourself, a dining room and lounge to enhance your comfort. The owners have loving filled it with homely things and it's a delight to wander through the house. We had breakfast in the most amazing room filled to the rafters with bottled fruit and merchandise for sale at their shop. The breakfast was superb with home made bread, jam and marmalade, and much more but the greatest thing is the owners obvious interest in their guests.

Beautiful b&b nestled amongst the wildlife
Location, rooms, unique gift shop
8.3
Ford House is beautiful, and has garnered a name amongst the locals as one of the nicest plays to stay in Bridgetown. The lodgings are picturesque and classical, and immediately make you feel relaxed, and at home. The bed is extremely comfortable, with pillows aplenty provided.
We had use of a shared kitchen, milk was provided fresh daily in pitchers in the fridge and there was an oven, stove, kettle, fridge, microwave, utensils and cookware which we were welcome to use.
Would definitely be back.
Restaurant Tip:
Put aside time to savour as many different restaurants and cafes as possible. The food is delectable. The local bakery in particular, makes excellent pies.

Lovely bed and breakfast with amazing gift shop
Unique gift shop, beautifully kept room, scenic location
8.3
We ended up staying in the Jim Thorpe room, and it was beautiful. The room itself was large and comfortable, and very tastefully decorated. We had use of a shared kitchen, replete with tea/coffee facilities, oven, stove, microwave and fridge which we were free to use. Everything was kept in very clean conditions.
The Wag Walters gift shop is stunning - humungous collection of unique and beautiful items.
Would definitely stay at Ford House again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Spend a day in Bridgetown driving around, eating at all the local establishments. The food is delicious.
