It wasn't what I expected at all from a hotel with a 4.5 star rating. Expected valet parking as inclusive serv. very difficult hotel to find if driving there. Then told there car park closed that day. Then had to park elsewhere which was not too far away. Room far from expectation. Bathroom very small and dirty window ledge with a Lolly paper found on floor. found out the hotel is actually closing end of month. Very tired hotel. Very disappointed I booked this hotel.

Like with any Brisbane Hotel you don't really get what you pay for. The limited deluxe suite was huge. But when you notice that the little things in a 4-4,5 star hotel that you expect to have just aren't there, you begin to doubt if it's all worth it.
+Huge room
+Very central, the queen street mall is amazing
+Staff really tried their best at helping out
-NO friggin wifi, the internet connection supplied by the hotel is by (a short) ethernet cable and it's incredibly expensive (20$/day) and beyond incredibly slow, you can't even watch youtube on it
-Few power sockets
-Hair dryer was broken
-No detatchable shower head
-Really noizy air condition
Again, the cons are really small things that don't really make much of a difference in the long run. However they are expected in a hotel of this ones standards, and I've stayed in both cheaper and less renowned hotels who are better worth the money.

We choose the Chifley for convenience to the Art Gallery and Performing Arts Centre, just across the bridge. It appears to be in process of renovation.

Great location right in the centre of town but rooms are very rough and really need a do up - when you book a room try to get the bigger ones as the small ones have very small bathrooms.

Excellent location, has access to Central bus station, you can walk onto the Mall, accross the road from Myer Centre, a 2 minute walk to casino, a 10 minute walk to Southbank and entertainment centres, 1 minute walk to ferries,coffee shops and muvie theatres

There was moiuld on the wall in the bathroom, very tacky. For the two nights I was there I could not get the meal I wanted from the menu. I left sign for room to be cleaned and dirty crockery was left beside my bed after clean. I doublt I will stay again nor recommend
