Great Location & Nice Rooms

The reception staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic, the rooms are large, clean and have everything you need for a great stay (comfortable bed, laundry, full kitchen). Unfortunately this is where the good points end. We stayed for six nights (was supposed to be seven). On our first night we had a problem with the old venetian blinds in our bedroom. We couldn't open, raise or lower them. We had no privacy and they tapped all night against the window. It was very hot when we stayed and the bedroom has no air con, so sleeping with the windows closed was not an option. The next day I rang reception and we had a 'hire a hubby' guy come up and said the blind can't be fixed. We were offered a room change, which we accepted. The manager was very friendly and helpful and bought the new keys up to our room. The room they gave us was half the size of our current one, so I asked if there was a room that we could move to that was the same size as the one we had originally booked. We were given another room which was huge with fantastic views and we were very happy. The manager pointed out that the remote for the air con didn't work and that we'd have to turn it on and off at the unit, which didn't bother me a bit. What they didn't mention however, was that the air con switched itself off after around 5-10 minutes, so we were constantly having to turn it back on at the unit, and the room grew very hot as soon as the air con turned itself off. We still had 5 nights left so again I rang reception to see if we could get it fixed. Hire a Hubby couldn't fix it and we were told it needed a part. Long story short, despite ringing reception every day, the air con didn't get fixed. It was unbelievably hot in the room so we had to check out a day early as it was unbearable (no apology or refund). Told on check out there were no charges, however 3 days after leaving, $90 was charged to our credit card for carparking, despite not having a car with us.

fantastic modern fully equipped appartment

we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the appartment. not only were we surprised by the quality of furnishing and design but it was also very spacious and had a huge balcony. if you are discovering that eating out 3 or even 1 time per day on your holiday is getting expensive then the appartment has advantages as you can cook and relax and enjoy a little private time. furthermore the location was spot on, walking distance to shops, bars and restuarants. only downside was the additional parking fee of 25AUD which should really be included in the price but wasnt.
also the pool was a big disappointment. never have i seen such a stangely, poorly designed narrow pool where its a struggle for 1 person to swim in a straight line without hitting the sides.

Situated in the heart of the city within walking distance to all the shopping and restaurant/coffee shops. The room is spacious and adequate for a weekend stay. The main room is airconditioned but the main bedroom is not which makes it quite hot and stuffy. The balcony is massive but be aware that you will be subjected to the noises of the city all night. Apart from that little hiccup its a great place at a great price.
Restaurant Tip:
Avoid Georges seafood in my opinion. Over priced and quality could be better. I am sure there is better value elsewhere.

this is the second time i have stayed here. the location is central and in walking distance to nearly all brisbane city attractions.
the room was a little tired in some of the furniture however was very comfortable, clean and tidy.
i would definately stay here again.
Shopping Tip:
This accommodation is witin walking distance of Central train station. If flying into Brisbane catch the airport train to the city and then it is about a 10 minute walk to the appartments

our apartment was very clean and well appointed. we were conveniently positioned in close prosimity to the inner city which allowed us to access the shops and city botanical gardens without having to use any public transport. we were more or less within walking distance of everything. the one bedroom apartment was well layed out and we did have very beautiful views of the river and other parts of the city (especially at night). however this being an apartment, and not a hotel room, we did have to provide our own shampoo and other toiletries. overall, we both enjoyed our weekend here and will be back to stay again.
Restaurant Tip:
we went to the 5 star (and slightly expensive) marco polo restaurant in the casino with family members for a pre christmas dinner during our stay at icity. the food and service were both excellent.

Car parking is under the apartment with many local attractions such as bars, restaurants park and cafes, which makes this apartment a great place to stay. Also locally is the Myers shopping centre with food court and cinemas, which gives you somewhere to go after dinner for a spot of shopping and catch a film or two
