wonderful hotel with great location

there is a drive in carpark which cost au$ per night. however, the hotel had waived it for us. the room is big and clean, there are two double bed in the room. the shampoo and bath gel are very nice too. the staffs are polite. the location is great, it is just walking distance to the shopping area. there is a pancake mayor restaurant which open 24hours just beside the hotel which have fantastic yummy pancakes!! we enjoy our stay in hotel rendezvous on george.

Great Location, but lots of disadvantages

I was greatly disappointed in the size of the room, seeing that we paid for more than a basic room, I believe we picked the 3rd grade up out of 4 graded rooms, ie. supposedly 2nd best
The bathroom was very small. The telephone was out of the 1990's.
The TV cannot be switched on and off from the remote. Limited cable TV channels. The TV was small and crooked.
Car Park, additional fee, which is common, but have to stop in front of the gate every time you drive in and out and ask the reception to open the gate. This was terribly inconvenient.
The brochures said free wi-fi, but the fine print tells you that it is only for 3 hours, and 3 consecutive elapsed hours at that, ie. cannot connect and disconnect over a long period of the day and still be within 3 hours of usage. That forced us to pay extra to get access to Internet.
Positives were that the staff were very nice an offerred excellent service, and the breakfast was good.
I would not stay there again, unless the prices drop, as I believe that you can get much better hotels in CBD for the same price.

To Brisbane quiet regularly and stay at a wide range of hotels, this is probably the worse Hotel in Brisbane, the customer service was bellow average, the food was horrible and extremly over priced. The parking was shocking, I sat in my car for 15mins till I rang them to open up the garage door do I could park.. Wouldn't suggest anyone to
Stay there!! They didn't even have soap in the bathroom!!
