Great location and well-appointed if older

this hotel has a slightly older/tired skeleton with some architectural constraints (everything seems a bit closed in compared to more modern designs) but makes up for it with being well looked after and well-appointed. spare pillows, iron, range of fittings etc. helpful service. across the road from gallery of modern art and a short walk to south bris train station. would stay again.
Restaurant Tip:
Era Cafe a couple of blocks away for breakfast.

great location! 15 mins walk from queens street mall. 8 mins walk from southbank entertainment centre. With the expensive carpark rates in Brisbane. It's important to have a hotel with such good location and complimentary carpark lot. Will def return.

no fee for parking which is unusual for the city so a definite plus point
convenient to walk to city
staff friendly and obliging had late check out for no extra charge

Suitable for a Leisure Weekend

We were there for a weekend for a friend's party in Southbank. So the apartment is conviently located. It is clean and all things are in workable conditions. Staffs are friendly. They could provide better services if they were more knowlegable about the surroundings such as a good restaurants etc. Overall it is a good place to stay for a leisure weekend.

Southbank & West End 15 minutes walk from Hotel

Rooms are very small and bathrooms are positively tiny. The airconditioning rattled and work us up at night also the fridge needed defrosting and did not cool our food and drinks. We mentioned this to the office on our second day and was advised it would be fixed - nothing happened! Best thing going for the hotel is location and free parking. Cleanliness also leaves a bit to be desired.
Restaurant Tip:
Very good dining at West End with plenty of choices

Staff really helpful especially Brendon who happilly helped out with a special request - a surprise cheese platter and wine placed in the room prior to our arrival.

Checkin was easy. Staff pleasant. View over river. Room a bit dated but for the price and location I couldn't complain. I would stay there again.
Restaurant Tip:
This hotel is very close to Southbank. Just head along Grey street for about 800 metres and you will be in the middle of the Southbank restaurants. Obsession Chinese restaurant has modern Chinese - very good. Alternatively turn right from Grey street into Melbourne St and you have all the West End reataurants just up the road. For breakfast, go to Melbourne street and walk along to to first set of lights and on the left is a bunch of breakfast and coffee places.
If you are a runner you are right on the river. Go out the front door, turn left and then right into the laneway and another right and you will see the river path in front of you. It is a very scenic, flat run with clearly marked running/walking track alongside the river.

Hotel's location is great for family activities - museum, Lego Education Centre, Southbank. (Rugby at Suncorp Stadium, Expos at the Brisbane Convention Centre)
