stroll to qpac
it's all about the location

my second visit as just perfect for attending anything at southbank. the beds are comfortable and the room very clean. having a balcony is a real bonus, but would personally request a room overlooking the pool as western sun was very hot on balcony in the afternoon. guess it depends on your plans for the day though.
full credit to management, as there was a problem with the air-conditioner and this was attended to immediately! well done.

Good value, so close to the city

I was a little shocked to open my door and see traffic whizzing by on the William Jolly Bridge just a few metres away. But the room was reasonably quiet except when heavy trucks passed, though the balcony was not very useful! The rooms offered basic amenities but everything necessary albeit in large squeeze packs fixed to the wall rather than in individual sachets.
During the night I was woken by talking in the corridor followed by my room being opened and light switched on. I called out and the 'intruder' went away so I was able to go back to sleep (after switching the light off and fastening the door chain. When I asked about the incident in the morning the manager said a guest checking in and been given the wrong key. He apologised, said it had never happened before and waived my party's dinner costs. Mistakes will happen and I appreciated the manager's response.
While the hotel is centrally-located, I could find only very limited dining options and no convenience store nearby.

Perfect Location for Southbank
location - stroll to qpac

this was a great find for visiting southbank and proved to be just a stroll to to the museum, qpac (performing arts), art gallery and the delightful southbank gardens alongside the river. it is also easily accessible by foot into the city.
the room we had was a basic hotel room with a single bed and also a queen and both were very comfortable. the room was a little dated, but very clean and it was a lovely surprise to find we had a balcony (think all rooms do have). it was a real bonus to have secure, covered parking included in the very reasonable tariff. last visit to brisbane cost an extra $30 for parking.
i would stay again because of: price, cleanliness, free parking and mainly location for visiting theatre and other southbank attractions.

great place, dated furniture in lounge room.

Found the room to be clean and tidy, and when informed that the shower gel was empty, it was soon refilled and also cleantowels left for us. Cleaning staff were very polite and courteous to us also.
Nightlife Tip:
We found that the motel was is agreat location for attending the QPAC, for a show. It was an easywalk to the QPAC and it was also a very safe walk, which was important to us in todays world.

Lovely hotel room which was spacious enough for two of us and everything was very clean. We were very disappointed after arriving at 2.45am from the airport to be woken up at 7.30am by the cleaning staff in the corridor, we felt this was too early to be making such a noise. The food and service in the restaurant was exectional and very tasty.
The location of the hotel is ideal for Brisbane in the centre of everything. On leaving the hotel we were expected to pay more than we had spent and it took a while to sort this out with the reception team, this was very frustrating and annoying that we had been questioned for things that we had already paid for in cash. The internet/wi-fi was very expensive to use in the hotel too.

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights for a chance to explore South Bank/ Brisbane and the hotel provided great value for money. A nice and simple room, clean, easy parking and with access to everything we needed. A short 10 minute walk across the bridge and we were in the heart of the city, Queen St Mall, etc, which was very handy... would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable place to stay in the Sounth Bank/city area...

Good Compromise Between Location & Price
Cleanliness and location - if you're into museums and galleries, or if you're there for a function at the Convention Centre.

An affordable hotel 10mins walk to Queen St via footbridge, 5 min walk to the Convention Centre and train station (although there aren't any signs indicating the train station - not hotel's fault, of course).
Found the entrance to the pool locked during the day - not sure if need to ask the reception for keys. It's a homely hotel but it needs to be more customer oriented e.g. clear posting of directions etc.
The hotel can be accessed by foot via a few routes; one of the alleyway feels a bit desserted.
Overall, an OK hotel - nothing spectacular, and like the previous reviewer, I find it hard to comprehend it's rated as a 4* hotel. It's more of a 3* at best.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Highly recommend the night cruise/city tour especially on your first day or so - excellent overview of Brisbane.

酒店房間外表看來有點兒殘舊,但房內裝潢還算乾淨整潔。
而酒店位置可算是其最大優點,離鐵路站及巴士站只是大約步行五分鐘,附近還有博物館等。

入住後發現風景不錯，雖然超是走路有點距離不過也還算進，附近就有很多景點可以晃晃。
晚餐食吃飯店的餐廳價格不會很高，內容物卻滿不錯的我技的當初我吃的牛排很好吃，服務生態度很好很有耐心。
