Everything was Great
Quiet location, right on the beach, great courtyard

Everything was great about our stay. The room had an unexpected washer/dryer which was great to do laundry with. There is also a supermarket a short walk down from the hotel that has everything you will need and will give you a ride back if you buy more than just a couple items. Also, there is free unlimited wifi across the street at the Straits on the Beach bar/grill if you buy something (even just a coffee).
Hotel Feature Tip:
Take the bus into town if you dont have a rental car. Taxi from the airport is about 35 AUD, which is very expensive for a short trip, but necessary if you arrive late.

Great people
The staff were fantastic, very helpful. Across the road from the beach with life savers an a cafe with a great vibe.

Great location, close to major roads for sight seeing and 10 mins drive from cairns city. It's across the road from the beautiful beach which has a small park, swim area with life savers, and a cafe with a lovely relaxed vibe. The only down side was our bed was rather hard, and the tv wasn't mounted on the wall so we had to keep watch with our little one.
Restaurant Tip:
Strait on the beach you can have abide to eat or drink with your toes in the sand.

we enjoyed our stay and it was easy to relax looking out over the pool and palm trees from our balcony. the owners were very lovely and friendly and were happy to help in any way they could. the licensed cafe/restaurant across the road, over looking the beach, was an amazing bonus!
