Welcoming environment, and efficient service upon arrival. Bright,well-maintained room. Well-stocked mini bar. Complimentary drinks voucher offered after small cleaning oversight reported. Knowledgeable 'tour advisor'.Itinery was followed exactly and professionally. Very friendly restaurant staff. Very pleased with all meals taken there,especially seafood buffet. Rooms well-maintained and serviced, but alittle 'tired'. I understand a refurbishing program has begun. The Holiday Inn in Cairns has a bright and welcoming ambience immediately upon arrival. The reception and tour staff are personable, professional,knowledgeable,and efficient.The rooms are well-maintained and comfortable.We stayed in a 'garden' room which has a small private courtyard. All requests were met with courtesy and helpfulness. The excellent breakfast buffet was good value,as was the evening seafood buffet. The service that evening was especially good.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Tour advisor located in reception,very helpful.

Very near the promenade, shops and sightseeing. We enjoyed staying in this hotel very much.

Very good location, friendly staff, good in-house movies on demand. The views are not so great and there is construction right next door. The Holiday Inn is always a reliable source for a nice hotel. The Holiday Inn in Cairns is very conveniently located. There are many very good restaurants nearby. The gym is not so nice, but the pool is good. If you are looking luxury that you might want a different hotel. If you are looking for a comfortable, affordable, easy hotel than this is for you.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Casino Rainforest is awesome. You can hold a koala, of course you have to pay.

Conveniently located near shopping or dining in the city center. Somewhat poorly the Japanese staff for the hotel. May 2, but early on the morning of check-in, check in, did not respond even surly Japanese woman smiling staff. Most of the hotel's Japanese guests, and the front face of the hotel itself, I think it's very important. I feel this one is the Japanese way.
