Comfortable, recently renovated older hotel
Recently renovated, fast checkin and checkout, accommodating staff

Room was recently renovated, very clean and comfortable. However it seems doubtful that it is a 4.5 star hotel. The bathroom was old and obviously so. Mine was missing the bathtub stopper and most amenities, where a sign informed us that due to their penny pinching we would have to obtain these by request from the concierge. A comfortable stay, but missing the touches of luxury which would make it a true 4 or 5 star hotel.

Very relaxed pleasant stay at the Crown Plaza
Comfortable beds, location and nice staff

Our stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel was very enjoyable. Nice efficiant staff, comfortable rooms and a great location. Direct into the Casino. Short walk to restaurants and shopping. Parking very convenient.

Great Hotel with Great Service

I was impressed, the location is great, nice & Central in Canberra. Just a 2min walk to the Canberra Centre for shopping & 1 min away from the convention centre where my exhibition was being held.

Very pleasant place!

It is a very pleasant place. Nice design features. Our room had a bit more character than your average hotel. It has a really good gym. The restaurant food was good. A bit overpriced but not more than a lot of hotels. Very convenient location. The concierge staff were really helpful and friendly.

Well positioned hotel with excellent service
Located very close to major city shopping areas

The Crowne Plaza Canberra Hotel is an extremely well located and well managed serious hotel. There are staff for luggage and carparking. The restaurant had delicious food, even for gluten free vegetarians.
The Casino is adjacent to the hotel and can be reached from the lobby of the hotel.
The main central Canberra shopping district is just one block away.
The car park under the hotel was not sufficient for the Saturday night when we were there but there is overflow carparking outdoors in front of the hotel.
The rooms are quiet and well equipped for business. The beds were very comfortable. Late checkout at 11 am is very civilized.
I would have no hesitation is recommending this hotel to anyone but it particularly suits the business traveller.
Travel tip:
Check you map od Canberra before driving into Canberra or you might end up driving around in circles!

Great location and fantastic service
Best location and fantastic views of the city

I planned to propose to my girlfriend the night we stayed here and I had let the staff know in advance. They assisted by giving us a room on the top floor and complimentary champagne. The service we received was fantastic and I would highly recommend staying here. Needless to say, we are now engaged!

Proximity to the main attractions, friendliness and professional attiltude of the staff.

We enjoyed a brief stay. We had a comfortable, clean room and excellent service.
We were able to park our car for the duration and take advantage of many of the hotel's extra services. We would stay there again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
This hotel is located in a quiet but central area , handy to the shopping precinct and many of the local attractions. Highly recommended.
