Strange room layout

Hotel foyer was very welcoming in traditional Accor/Novotel blue. Staff were pleasant and attentive and whenever we asked questions about local restaurants etc they were knowledgeable. Only thing that left is slightly puzzled was the room layout. When you open the hotel room door you're immediately into the bedroom. No entrance hall. This made the room feel out of balance. At the back of the room was a sitting area with a single wall mounted aircon. No central aircon feeding the bedroom area, just a fan on the ceiling. It's nice to have a sofa to sit on and not have to watch tv on the bed. The room is narrow so this might explain the lack of entrance way but it just didn't feel right to walk straight into the bedroom from the main door.

The hotel was well located. Good size clean room. Nice atrium in public area. Usual no free Internet but could get 30 mins free each day in lobby. Friendly efficient staff. I would recommend.

Enjoyable stay, great location can walk to many attractions and restaurants and shopping. Breakfast is an amazing feast, room was very comfortable. The lifts are very slow and had trouble adjusting the tv volume, but only minor concerns.
