Only stayed one night, staff friendly, upgraded to a Business villa overlooking the pool. BBQ on terrace with chairs and tables. Microwave and hotplate in room, but nowhere to eat in the room, only on the terrace/balcony. Small bathroom. Also have some motel style rooms, so get a mix of people staying. Some motel rooms backed on to a bar so believe that this was quite noisy on a Friday night, although myself. Cannot comment on breakfast as had an early pick up for a tour and breakfast wasnt available. Walking distance to the wharf and Mitchell Street

The Hotel was central, gave a variety of room and price choices. Room was very clean.

We are from southern Australia and travelled to Darwin during Christmas / new year period. The palms city resort had good rates at that time of the year and the close proximity to CBD and esplanade made walking to locations easy. Next time we would book the huts instead of a motel room for a bit more holiday appeal.
