Hotel Description

This hotel combines the excitement of a casino with the beauty of the beach. This property serves best for the thrill seekers and the sun seekers. With its location, on the Mindil Beach, Sky City is a short drive from the CBD and only a few steps away from the shoreline. All the rooms are fresh and bright, with balconies overlooking the water. A well equipped business center is designed for those with jobs to think about. The hotel also offers free shuttle takes guests to the CBD twice a day (a few minutes’ drive), but with the beach and Mindil Markets right by the hotel, and Cullen Bay’s restaurants a short stroll up the road, there is just no need to venture far. Keeping all guests in mind, the casino is kept separate from the hotel with minimal overlapping territory. Skycity Darwin Hotel being an award winning hotel, is definitely worth the visit.

Important Notice

Please note that construction continues on the expanded tropical resort scheduled for opening in July 2012. The site of the new resort is located adjacent to the existing property. In addition, the property is refurbishing 16 of the existing accommodation rooms and upgrading the guest lifts with work due to commence on 7 January 2012 with completion by mid April 2012. Hours of work are between 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Saturday, there will be no work taking place on Sundays.

We enjoyed having a swim in the infinity pool very much, the view is terrific! Our room was very nice, but we found an item in the desk draw left by a previous guest so I think the cleaning is not to 5 Star std. Our meal at one of the Restaurants was quite nice, but the wait staff did not appear to be experienced with aspects of the menu, again not a 5 star std

We loved the spa, it was definitely worth the cost!. 10 We stayed for two nights to celebrate a birthday. The beds were comfy and enormous, we had a nice outside area that looked over to the new lagoon part, the rooms spacious and very tidy, we thoroughly enjoyed the spa. The restaurants we chose to eat at were 'Cove' which is very elegant and Sunset Restaurant which is buffet style dining, great range of food. We were very annoyed at the limited amount of car parking near the hotel as the new lagoon area has just arrived, there is no boom gate so anyone who is there just for swimming or dinner gets prime parking. Restaurant Tip: We dined at the new restaurant 'Cove' it was great, small delicious meals and excellent service.
