Clean rooms, friendly staff and quiet at night. No free bottled drinking water. Breakfast should be included in stay. It was a bit expensive. As we were attending a function in Fremantle the Explanade Hotel was in a fantastic location and close to places for shopping and having a quiet drink. The staff were friendly and the room was nice and quiet at night and clean on arrival. I would recommend the Esplanade Hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the Fremantle area and will be re-booking our room for another function next year.
Hotel Feature Tip : Sail and Anchor Hotel just down the road was a great place to have a quiet drink.

The hotel was nicely located near most of the locations of interest in this small community, and easily accessible. The rooms were comfortable and clean and ours was in the proximity of the guest pool. The pool was protected from the wind, which was nice. Hotel personnel were very helpful. The food charges in the hotel were unreasonably high for what was offered in the surrounding areas. Our stay was brief and on the Christmas holidays which may have caused some of the escalation in food pricing. The location was well within walking distance of most of the tourist locations which we read about in travel magazines and publications. It was most definitely the nicest accommodation which we saw while in the area. As mentioned above, we felt the food at all periods of the day were unreasonably high regardless of the holiday. $142.00 for a single person Christmas buffet does not compute with us, and we have traveled quite a bit. Actually the food was the only down side that we could comment on related to our stay. In balance many other selections for food were within an easy walk from the hotel.
Travel tip : There were great seafood restaurants very near the hotel across the park. Something one should not miss.

The hotel's location makes it an ideal base for people visiting Perth.
Restaurant Tip : We didn't have breakfast in the hotel, as it is quite expensive, and for half the cost you can walk up the street and sample one of the many restaurants on the main drag that opens for breakfast.

5 minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf. Walk the street location of the best cappuccino around 10 minutes. BARETTOPAKINGU high price. (Car rental is probably not adequate for use) The exterior of the hotel a great hotel. Rooms with balcony, have a sense of openness. Restaurant food is expensive and, so, close to Fisherman's Wharf, etc., we recommend eating there.
Restaurant Tip : Italian cappuccino is for one of the famous美味SHIKUNAI. Better Food of Fisherman's Wharf for fresh seafood. Also, if a rental car, out of the parking hassle.
