Nice resort with palm setting
Close to a huge shopping centre

Enjoyed our stay even though the weather rained 5 days of the 7 days we stayed there. Nice pool with a palm setting very peaceful
and a lake on the other side of the resort.
We were upgraded to a one bedroom which was a blessing as during the raining days we ate in as we have a full kitchen facility.
The down side was the spa...when we turn it on it only lasted about a minute or so.

Great location, clean rooms, friendly staff
They had a nice pool, bar area and BBQ area.

the room was very clean. the view was great and the lake out the back of the resort had fish in. The weather was inclement and it did spoil our holiday but the resort staff were friendly and there was a lot of options to keep us occupied.

The Resort is lovely, staff friendly and helpful.
The pool, spa, location and rooms were all very nice.

I like the resort very much. The lady at reception was very helpful and nice. The pool and spa was one of the highlights. The only thing I'd suggeest is getting a room with aircon as most of them don't and they really keep the heat in. We had to leave the ceiling fan on all the time (which was quite nosy) in order to stay cool. It wasn't very powerful and it really needed aircon.

Great Location with excellent facilities

Great location with shops besdie Resort and accommodation being the cheapest on the Gold Coast. Nice gardens and pool area. Room could do with some deep cleaning as bare feet inside room was horrible and walls dirty. Nice view of lake infront of our room.

We recently stayed in a studio unit for 5 days during the XMas holidays, as the prices everywhere else was insane. We got what we paid for.
One aspect of this place which we felt not comfortable is the cleanliness of the WC. Being a bit old place, management may need to consider proper cleanliness of the place.
This resort is about 20 Kms from Sea World and about 35 Kms from Movie world. One advantage is that it is next to Pines Shopping Centre.
Though Agoda and Wotif listings do not mention this, be prepared to pay for all supplies (towels, toilet rolls etc) after you consume the initial stock. Alternatively, buy it from the Pines Shopping Centre.

Good location but small rooms

One thing I liked about the hotel was that it was conveniently located near a mall and that made it easy for us to catch up on last minute shopping. It was a nice touch that the hotel provided cutlery and a microwave oven such that we could prepare our own meals. Some things I didn't like was that the rooms were slightly small and the floor was also sticky.

We stayed at Bay of Palms Resort for 3 days. The location was great as it was just next to a mall. You will need a car to get around this location at it is far from any other attractions until you are familiar with taking the bus.
Overall would recommend the place if you are on a tight budget.
Shopping Tip:
Mall is just next to the resort.

Great Price, Great Location, Great Feel
Relaxed atmosphere by the Lake

We really enjoyed this hotel (more like a motel), for it's relaxed atmosphere away from the hustle & bustle of the beach, but yet 5 minutes in the car to a choice of amazing beaches. Very convenient walking to the shopping mall & supermarket! Loved sitting on the BBQ table looking out into the lake, or having a swim in the pool. We would definitely recommend a Delux Suite by the Lake, ground floor is the best!! We are very keen to stay in this resort again & will recommend to others.

located relatively near the pines shopping mall was an advantage as there is no hassle in having the need to get grocery items. it's about 10 mins walk and you'll have 3 big marts waiting for you to do your shopping. the sun ray's reflection brings out the best view of the lake, simply amazing. even without the access of free wifi, internet on credit was available at the lobby which was great! aud2 dollars for 20 mins and aud4 for an hour, a way to pass time quickly through the night. swimming pool was lovely, especially to be able to swim in the night and gazing the stars from the pool side. i strongly recommend this place for couples who are going for a romantic getaway.
