was a bit worried when i initally booked to stay here not sure why but silverton does have some bad reviews but the price was right and i dont see what was so bad about it. the only thing i would change would be that there is no air con in the rooms thats about the only fault i just had the fan going whjich seemed to work fine in replace of the aircon. i have stayed at other self contained apartments on the gold coast and they were alot worse cockroaches no dishwasher etc. for a self contained apartment on the gold coast this place is the best i have ever stayed. it had secure underground car park, dishwasher, a shop in reception which sells alot, the room was nice modern furnishings, great value for money. when i stay on the gold coast again i will stay here overall a very good experience.

Dirty apartment - in very noisy central location

I would never stay at this apartment complex again. While the public areas of the complex appeared dated but clean and the linen was clean, the rest of the apartment was filthy. I had to buy detol and spray and wipe to wipe light fittings they were so dirty and greasy. the balcony was filthy and nearly black. The shower had mold in the grout which was cleanable but had not been cleaned the cupboards were dirty and dusty. the carpet felt really gross underfoot and unclean and it did not take long for my son and I to develop runny nose and sinus difficulties. All this combined with the road noise will add to the sleepless and uncomfortable experience of staying at this complex. We were booked for two nights but left the next day for health reasons.

Great central location, everything you need.
The Silverton Apartments are in a great location in Surfers Paradise, Handy to beach and shopping. All the facilities you need and Foxtel too.

We found the Siverton Apartments were a great place to stay and very well priced. It had all the facilities that some more expensive apartments had plus more. There was a full kitchen with a dish washer. Full laundry with washer and drier. The television had foxtel which gave lots of choices. As with many Apartments on the Gold Coast that are 20 - 25 years old the decor is a bit tired but the Apartment was very clean and tidy. There was a good pool and games room/gym. The Apartment is not right on the beach but is within 200 metres of it. It is beside the river which is nice.
The only downside for us was that our room was beside the road but it would be hard to find anywhere on the Gold Coast that doesn't have noise coming from somewhere. We would happily choose to stay there again.

The 2 bedroom apartment was clean and has a complete cooking facility. It even has a washing machine and dryer which was a pleasant surprise. On the downside we were only given two small bottles of bath gel and shampoo throughout our stay. So please remember to bring your own toiletries if you plan to stay more than 2 days. No in house restaurant but food easily available nearby.

Dissapointing. We went there for our wedding anniversary but hated every minute of it. we faced a very busy road with heavy traffic and noisy partygoers walking the streets late at night. The toilet bowl had not screws holding it and it moved in a dangerous way when seating on it. It had water leakage from the pipes too on to the floor. Shower doors were falling off as you opened them. We arrived at 5.30 pm and found big tv. carton and big rubbish bags full in front of our door. A regular tenant moved them so we could get in. Awful bleach smell as we walked in and spend 2 days all itchy. Clean but old and outdated. That was our silverton experience.!
Restaurant Tip:
Close to restaurants, walking distance to the beach, the pub is accross the road and there is a bottle shop accroos the road.
