Amazing spot right by the beach!
The location was quiet but close to everything. The pool and spa was fantastic. The room had ocean views.

Fantastic location, ocean views and pool. The apartment was clean on first apearance but had quite a build up of dust on the curtains and skirtings. It was spacious and had a great balcony. I was a little dissapointed with the condition of the apartment, it was a little tired, with paint peeling and chipped and the bathroom fittings being quite dated. But all in all pretty good and the location was top!

We had a pleasant stay at SpinDrift apartments
Spindrift is built very close to the beach and our apartment had a large balcony with an amazing view of the ocean. It was quiet apart from the thundering ocean. The beds were comfortable.

The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped lacking only egg cups. There was no aircon but there were fans in the main living area and in the main bedroom. We had to rush out and buy toilet paper and soap as only scraps were supplied. The dining table was sticky and the placemats stuck to it. We could not clean the dining table properly as only a tiny piece of chux was supplied. The couches were ripped and the stuffing coming out in spots,they really needed replacing. The apartment heated up when the sun came out and we had trouble opening the windows as the salt air had corroded the metal frames. We had to ask for new batteries for the TV remote which did not work and there was no DVD player in the living room. We loved the big balcony and the view. The stairs to the beach had been washed away by the heavy surf and unfortunately we couldn't swim at the beach as it was unsafe to do so.

location is great - the beachfront view we had was awesome and mermaid beach is great for more private time rather than having to crowd around in other beaches which are more populated.

Good location as the beach is just steps from basement carpark.
Hotel room is just steps directly (lift) from the carpark at the basement, no need to pass through Ground level (reception). Food available by walking distance (5 minutes). It is not located at the heart of Surf Paradise, but if you got car then it is not a problem (10 minutes drive).

We really enjoyed our stay. Our unit had all we required , plus more, and what a great outlook. We will be back , and we would have no hesitation in recommending Spindrift to anyone. Thanks to the management for all you assistance , nothing was a trouble .

Moved to Forshore Apartments

the forshore apartments are good they quoted a ocean front apartment, it was only an ocean view (side) apartment. the bedrooms had internal shutter not curtains. the shutter were old and didn't shut out much light. the steps down to the beach were broken and looked like they had been broken for months.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
the theme parks are great and easy to get too. mermaid beach is close to all the sights, but far enough out of surfers to have a real holiday.
