Clean hotel room with great location

stay one night at mercure hotel, centrally located in the hobart city. if you are renting car from the hertz, the company just directly opposite the hotel, hence is easier to return car on the last day.
however hotel guest need to pay for the parking lot provided b y the hotel, which cost 10 dollars per day. neverthless if you want to park for free, you can park your car along the roadside parking lot for free from 7pm till 7am.
overall the hotel room is clean and comfortable, however the toilet is quite small and appeared old.

An easy commute from Hobart Airport. The Hotels location is quite central to the main shopping district and many of the cities tourist attractions. Staff were friendly and efficient, check in was very quick. The room was clean and tidy. It appears that the suites may be in need of a refurbishment shortly. Local television avilable, but no cable TV.

We left our booking a little late for Hobart and the choice was pretty slim. We ended up at the Mercure hotel in Hobart - it was quiet pricey for the standard of accommodation. Staff were helpful and sorted out a small problem without fuss and with a smile. Easy onsite parking. Had the hotel been $100 cheaper per night, it would of been fine, but a I suppose I was paying premium rates. it was a bit expensive for a fairly dated, old style motel/hotel.

The location is not bad and the staff are friendly. The room was comfortable but showing signs of wear and tear and needed a paint job. Not bad to stay for a night or two but no longer.
Travel tip:
take the ferry to visit mona and take a tour of the cascade brewery. salamanca markets are on each saturday morning.

hobart city centre is not big. almost everywhere is walking distance. this hotel is in city centre. a little old and the walls are thin - able to hear other guests chatting along the corridor.
