Carpeting and bedspreads need to be cleaned. It is a worn hotel, but linens were clean. Lots of walking up and down hills from hotel in Hobart.

This hotel was in a great position. Shops and restaurants very nearby and a pleasant easy walk to the waterfront and tourist attractions, including Salamanca markets.
Staff were very efficient and helpful.
Unfortunately the decor was very old and dated. The whole place smelled musty and roof tiles were falling off the roof inside, due to moisture perhaps ?
The room was adequate for 2 people and had a window which could be opened to air it out.
The beds were old but reasonably comfortable, a big downer was the old blankets, no doona !
Electric blanket a plus and air con good.

Convenient to centre of Hobart

centrally located with easy walking access to main city features particularly constitution dock with ferry terminal for mona (museum of old and new art) and the salamanca market on weekends.
good car parking and easy access to main routes around hobart.
rooms large with views of the city. limited restaurant in hotel but plenty of dining opportunities nearby.
