Great location, small room

The hotel is centrally located in the city, within walking distance of the Salamanca Park where the Salamance Market is held every Saturday. It is also conveniently located near to Elizabeth Street which is the main shopping street. There is a Woolsworth supermarket about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. However, on the 2nd night of our stay, there is a problem with the water heater. It didnt get fixed till 3am the next day. Still, there was no hot water till about 8 in the morning.

Dirty Condom in Room

There was a used comdom on the towel rack of the first room they gave us, all the receptionist said was "oh gosh im so sorry" we were then given a slightly larger room, we were not given a discount or our money reimbursed for this incident.
I have since contacted the CIO and Operations manager of this hotel chain and have had no response.
The car park is small, they managed to flood it and the lights were out so you couldnt see a foot in front of you.
Wouldnt recommend staying here at all.

Overall it was agood stay. The hotel is near the shopping areas and walking distance to Salamanca Market. I would recommend this hotel if you're looking for cheap yet clean and convenitently located hotel.

Bad Customer Service, terrible undercover parking

The parking spaces were far too small at this hotel to try to navigate any average size vehicle into, leaving it barely possible to exit the vehicle due to the crammed in effect due to the inadequate size of the individual parking spaces. Also, there were maintenance issues that were not attended to, that are potential risks to customer's vehicles.
Unbeknown to me, there was an oil leak above the car space where I had parked my vehicle, which leaked onto my new car.
On reporting this incident, the management (Nadine) and the maintenance person (Bob), reactions were one of indifference; along with leaving me to clean the oil from the bonnet of my car. (I was not impressed!)
Their customer service was very lack luster, when it came to dealing with the incident with my vehicle and acknowledging what had happened. I could not and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Hotel Feature Tip:
If you value your vehicle, don't take it to this hotel; because the parking spaces are far too small your average sized vehicle to risk parking there, while the management seem to take no responsibility for any maintenance issues that could have your vehicle be at risk of damage.

this great hotel is situated right next to the cbd. it's close to all the shops and restaurants (although we struggled to find somewhere that's open on a sunday night). there are some noise at night from the cars driving by, but the noise from the tv was enough to drown them. foxtel was also a great bonus.

This great hotel is situated right next to the CBD. It's close to all the shops and restaurants (although we struggled to find somewhere that's open on a Sunday night). There are some noise at night from the cars driving by, but the noise from the TV was enough to drown them. Foxtel was also a great bonus.

i will stay here if i come the hobart again. the room provides alomost everything i need, although there is no access to internet.

The facilities are very good. It is good for couples for honeymoon, but not suitable for backpackers.

Have always enjoyed our stay at the Leisure Inn. Would not think of staying anywhere else in Hobart. Staying there again this coming New year
Travel tip:
Salamanca Markets. - Restaurants : Indian. Must experience the Anapura at Salamanca. Thai: The Suwan, Salamanca and if you like to taste one of the best steaks in Tassie go to the Ball and Chain , once again in Salamanca.

this hotel was centrally located, between the city centre and the water front. Walking distance to everywhere.
The rooms were comfortable and very reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The bathroom was clean but the shower curtain stuck to you whilst showering (yuk!) and the water spread all over the floor which was really annoying.
overall, I would recommend this hotel and would return if I ever travel to Hobart again.
