This is one of the older hotels in Hobart. The location is its greatest attraction. The room is quite nice with a view of the Derwent River. The location of the hotel is far from everything, so you definitely need a rental car. Not a very exciting place, but ok for a week end.

really old hotel, althoguh the service seems to be decent, but I will not return as the hotel is really too old and even the walkway makes me feeling depressed
the location is superb and the view is awesome
but other than that there is only let down from a this 5 star
old aircon which wait for 2 min after each adjustment to respond
very old tub with a glass wall which dont really stop water from spill
I dont know really how clean it is, it sure looks dirty, expecially the carpet, when it is that old.
overall, a 1970 luxury hotel, without a taste of classic/antique, but only old

We only stayed that hotel one night. The room was very clean and service was good. but restraunt is close early evening. So we have to go somewhere else to dine out. The was only a problem we had there. I would like to stay there again.

but when i check in a staff said upgrade to hign floor

Location and harbour view were excellent, complimented by friendly and helpful staff

Check in was easy and efficient. The help and guidance given by the staff made it a relaxed stay and created a friendly ambience.
The computer / internet access was readily accessible but in need of updating, particularly with printing facililities.
It was our second visit, enjoyed just as much as the first.
