Not up to scratch
I'm sure the site said all suites on high floors, I don't call fifth floor high. The buffet breakfast & dinner was nice but not what I consider 5 star. The carpets & decor are very old & needs a makeover. I'd stay again, but would consider other options first.

Quite Good
No complaints at all. Friendly staff in all areas, good sized & clean room, well located with Sandy bay shops/restaurants/bars just 15 minutes walk away. And a lovely view of the Derwent River out of the window. Probably the only downside is how much the poker machines have taken over from the original casino; I was amazed that there were only 6 tables on offer for players.

Disappointing
Couldn't get to the toilet without negotiating with the entrance door. Too cramped and no ventilation in the bathroom . An exhaust fan in there would assist .

The hotel's facilities and view of the pier and mountain is excellent for the price offered
