clean hotel with great location..

spacious clean one bedroom apartment, modern kitchenette + laundry, and a bathtub. 4 days in this hotel and found the location is excellent. tram stops in front of the door and minutes walking to crown, dfo southwharf, melbourne aquarium, immigration museum, southern cross station and flinders street station. 7/11 is around the corner. just bring your slippers if you don't like carpet.
Restaurant Tip:
Must have breakfast, bratwurst hotdog at Bratwurst Shop, Queen Victoria Market.

we really enjoyed our 2 day stay at medina northbank - location is superb, next to major tram stops and southern cross train station, so getting around the city is very easy. rooms (studios in fact) are reasonably spacious and comfortable - you feel like home from the first minutes. your own washing machine and dryer are definitely a plus. in-room broadband is very expensive (22 aud per day) but very very fast (10 mbps). would surely stay again!

perfect location in melbourne's cbd.

in the cbd and close to flinders train station. rooms are modern and new. great little kitchenette. only negative is that our verandah looked straight into the back of another building. but i guess that's to be expected in the city.

i really liked this hotel. it's in a bit of a drab area but once you get inside, it is light and bright, very clean with excellent service. the room was a suite with separate kitchen and lounge room, and a balcony but not much of a view on the side facing north. the bed was amazing, and there was a full minibar. the shower was a bit dodgy, and the bath was a little too small to stand in. that's my only complaint. there is a swimming pool and gym on the top floor, with a spa which was great. the location is very convenient, almost opposite southbank and a 10-minute walk to swanston street or an easy (and free) tram ride up the street. i would recommend.

Get the free tram across the road to explore the city.

enjoyable stay, well located hotel with lots of room and good facilities, have stayed here before and will do so again. great spot if you are attending the conference centre or crown casino.
lots of good restaurants close by and close to everything in central melbourne. walking distance to etihad stadium and rod laver arena.

Take a tour bus down the Great Ocean Road with Gray Line... what a fantastic day, very memorable....

Nice apartment but a bit outdated

It's located on the Edge of Melbourne CBD. Get off a Skybus from the airport at Southern Cross Station and a few mins walking can reach. However, it takes about 15 mins walking to the main area. (Swanston Street, Elizabeth Street, Federal Square...) A tram stop is outside this apartment and 7-11 is opposite. Room is big enough but can't imagine they're not using flatscreen TV! Many little bugs in my room especially the bathroom. Gym and swimming pool are good but quite busy all the time. Staff are not friendly and helpful enough. The late check-out policy is crazy. Normally is 10 am for check out, when I asked, they gave me only 1 hour for late and then you have to pay $60 AUD per hour!
Restaurant Tip:
It's located in the business area, quite difficult to find a restaurant in the evening.

immediately upon arrival the stff were freindly nd efficient. our room was clean and spacious. the location was perfect - around the corner from the southern cross station and accross the road from the city circle trams.
