Well priced, clean, comfortable, close to attractions, secure parking, walking distance to many great cafes, pubs and eateries. was completely happy with my stay, could not fault it! The base is so convenient to all the fantastic attractions of saint kilda, a short walk to the Espy Hotel, Prince of Wales, Elephant and Wheel Barrow, the fantastic cheap pizzas at the Banff. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and I felt very safe and comfortable. The rooms are clean and tidy.....and my goodness I have never seen so many good looking men in the one bar!!
Restaurant Tip : The Banff up Fitzroy street, great pizzas for around $8.00 and a cosy, cool environment.

Clean - friendly - helpful staff - fabulous location. Great $6 breakfast and dinners ( not that I had time to try dinner out). Great entertainment EVERY NIGHT....LOTS OF FREE BEES...
Mostly British travellers, Wales, Ireland, Scotland, but also Germany in my room. All happy and fun to be with. Girls dorm great.
I stayed in a female dorm and loved it. Felt safe, clean and happy.....had a ball laughing with other travellers from England, Ireland, Wales and Germany.Each day we reviewed our explorations and discussed the next day plans. The staff were fabulous, especially at breakfast....loved the girls I chatted with over my coffee and toast. Entertainment at night was incredible....pity I was so busy with old friends I couldn't take full advantage of it, but did manage to join in the free drinks night. What fun, free bubbly for all girls, and guys who dressed as girls. This place offers so much more than most and I would definitly stay again.
Restaurant Tip : Just around the corner is Acland Street....famous for coffee and CAKES. Some of the best you'll ever have....and sit outside and watch the world go by. Wonderful.
