Business travelers Germany, May 18, 2013	Good value for money, nice staff, close to airport Close to airport, clean room, good value for money 8 A nice hotel close to the airport, though you need to book the shuttle transfer in advance (Taxi there from the airport costs 15 AUD). Rooms are clean and good size, neither big nor small, staff nice and attentive. It is more a motel than a hotel, though, and feels like being in the middle of nowhere. There are some bars and restaurants in walking distance but having a car certainly helps. Taking a taxi from the airport will earn you a grudge from the driver as they need to queue for a 5 minutes trip. Better go to departure area and pick a taxi from there.

The hotel itself is not anything special - old and musty. It was fine for our purposes though - just an overnight in Melbourne. The free shuttle bus to/from airport is great. A cab ride into the city cost 40-50 dollars
