Good location on the fringe of the city
Close to city, docks area, bus and rail services from Southern Cross Station. Easy to catch free tram from La Trobe Street just around the corner.

Some staff were helpful, but others did not follow up on requests such as a room away from the lifts or not on a certain floor. Little noise so able to get good night's sleep.
Convenient to free city circle tram and southern cross station
Shopping Tip:
Catch the free city circle tram from Latrobe St rather than Spencer if going to CBD. It's a shorter distance to walk!!

The hotel located in the city centre, close to QV shopping mall, queen victoria market, flagstaff garden, there were so many restaurant in Swanston st. The hotel room quiet big, clean, would stay there for my next visit

The hotel is convenient - very close to the Southern Cross Station and seconds away from the tram syop (including the tourist city circle tram)So you can save on taxi charges to and from the airport as the Southern Cross station is also a terminal for the sirport/city link busses.
I was surprised after the first night to find the room not made up the next day.... And was told that they do not service rooms each day - they were happy to give extra towels etc.. but "daily room cleaning" is not part of the service!
The other reason for cheaper rates at the hotel is that they charge for Wifi - and charge by the clock - nbot by login time but rather the clock ticks from the time you first login. Being aware of these little Not-Extras will save dissapointment. The hotel is clean/comfortable - a little plain/dated.. but in Melbourne terms it is good value

Use the city circle tram (free)to get an orientation of the CBD?Docklands areas and to hear a commentary about the main attractions

Good Hotel
Close to Southern Cross Station, Frshely rennovated

I didn't spend a lot of time here in my room, but for the price, the facilites were excellent. New paint, carpets, and fittings etc. The room was very nice indeed. My one complaint was the quality of the single ply toilet paper, and the location of the toilet roll holder. Need to be a chinese acrobat to reach back and tear it off. Otherwise the room did a great job for the purpose I was in town for on a quick overnight stop.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
It's a nice 15 minute or so walk to Eureka tower. Go up and check out the awesome views!

i was deciding between atlantis hotel and another boutique hotel near queen victoria market. i was super glad that i chose atlantis. firstly, it was really a 5 mins walk from southern cross rail station. secondly, i got a top floor room with a superb view out of the window (i can see all the way to harbour city and the ferris wheel!)room and sheets were clean and the service staff was helpful and knowledgeable. the hotel is very near to a tram station where i can catch the free tourist tram 35. o
Hotel Feature Tip:
Do request for additional pillows, I felt that the only cons for this hotel is that their pillow is very 'flat'.
