Nothing to recommend
close to public transport, room was clean and reasonably comfortable

Hotel was only ok. Not up to four star standard. The air con was difficult to operate and noisey throughout the night. The pillows are too narrow and lumpy. Furnishings are sparse and the only natural light was from a dingy light well.Overall not a pleasant experience.

While not in center of city its close enough to catch a tram.

I was disappointed with the Internet connection at the Hotel. As a business traveler you expect connectivity in the room. While they refunded the charges when I complained at checkout I was constrained in my ability to work. The breakfast was ordinary, I was expecting more.

the hotel location suited where I had to go for my business trip and was also close to Southbank for dinner ,casino and I was able to catch the coach transfer back to the airport which was also a short walk.

The hotel is convenient - very close to the Southern Cross Station and seconds away from the tram syop (including the tourist city circle tram)So you can save on taxi charges to and from the airport as the Southern Cross station is also a terminal for the sirport/city link busses.
I was surprised after the first night to find the room not made up the next day.... And was told that they do not service rooms each day - they were happy to give extra towels etc.. but "daily room cleaning" is not part of the service!
The other reason for cheaper rates at the hotel is that they charge for Wifi - and charge by the clock - nbot by login time but rather the clock ticks from the time you first login. Being aware of these little Not-Extras will save dissapointment. The hotel is clean/comfortable - a little plain/dated.. but in Melbourne terms it is good value

Use the city circle tram (free)to get an orientation of the CBD?Docklands areas and to hear a commentary about the main attractions

Good hotel with great location

This is the second time I stayed in this hotel. The hotel room is big in space, very good bed to sleep. For traveller who rented a car, parking is no issue as the hotel has sufficient car park space and the parking fee is very reasonable at A$15.00 per day with multiple entries allowed. I will definitely choose this hotel again in my next trip to Melbourne.

Walk out the hotel lobby, turn left and walk for 10 minutes... Crown Casino is located at your left hand side.

All things to be expected from a 4 star hotel are included. A very clean and modern hotel with a perfect location across the street from Southern Cross station. Makes it easy to go out and enjoy the night life. The rate I was charged was very reasonable

So satisfied was with this hotel and its location, I booked a colleague this hotel at a better price and with breakfast included as well. The Best Western Atlantis Hotel is truly grat value. My colleague even got a room on a higher floor and with panoramic views to Etihad Stadium. Highly recommended.
