good location and cozy room

apartment is a bit smaller for the price . we booked two bedrooms apartment , we got no space to put our luggage inside the apartment. room is clean and facilities is ok.
took very long to check in , after long hours flight (9 hours) we arrived early 9.30 am, my children were so tired, it was winter outside was raining , we had nowhere to go but to wait till 2.15pm the room ready to use.
close to the china town and bourke street mall.
Shopping Tip:
walk straight towards swanson street , you can find chinese and Vietnamese food , victoria library only about 5 minutes away.

the hotel was situated in the heart of the cbd close to chinatown and other great eateries. a tram stop was within 50 metres of the door that provided great access to surrounding areas. great for a weekend away to watch the football. the room had all the necessary features and was clean and spacious.

The staff were most helpful when I was trying to connect to the internet and as my Granddaughter was on a higher floor staff connected my card to go to the higher floor to visit her. We had a great breakfast in the dining room on Sunday morning at a reasonable cost.
Nightlife Tip:
Go up the hill to Madame Brussels for a great night out

the hotel is tucked in behind other builds with some rooms having views of walls. i've stayed several times over the last year and the hotel has always been good. rooms seem to be well maintains and have the benefit of home cooking if you choose to ignore the vast selection of great eating on the doorstep.
tip:
get a local sim with a data plan for cheap internet. the cost of internet access is quite high and it only rubs salt in when you need to pay twice to use wireless and wired connections.
Restaurant Tip:
There is a great coffee shop right next door that has a great selection for breakfast.

Solid All Round Business Hotel

This is the second time I have stayed at the Citadines on Bourke Street Melbourne. No issues - check in fast - check out fast - good room but strangely they don`t provide any face washers in the bathroom. Very comfy bed - great view and very clean. This is a slick operation and I had no issues this time - and none the last time either. Only down side is they charge for internet access - about per 24 hours. Would recommend for business or leisure travel - its a great location in Melbourne.
Restaurant Tip:
Take a short stroll (about 10-15 minutes) down Bourke into 219 King Street and dine at SUD Italian Restaurant - sensational. Ask for Vincenzo - he the owner and you wll be looked after.

We could not fault one thing about this hotel. The location, staff, room size, facilities in room, lounge area all perfect. Very clean too!
Restaurant Tip:
We loved the little Italian restaurant called Beggeta (or similar name) in Bourke Street only a short walk from the hotel.
