Great location and nice room!

Nothing much to complain about other than they do not have clean up room service on Sunday. Apart from that, it's all good. Location is fantastic. Near to alot of places of interest which are within walking distance.

Excellent location, new hotel

Located in the heart of the Melbourne CBD, Citadine has access to all the requirements when travelling with family. Since there is easy walking distance access to trains & trams there is no need to use expensive cabs to commute. Just get a pass for zone 1 for the duration you're there which will cover most of the attractions in the vicinity. But there is plenty to do within walking distance of Citadine itself. Also the food options close by are amazing.
The hotel itself seems quite new and is very clean. Service levels are about average, but it's a self service hotel so interaction with the staff is minimal. Excellent self-service laundry facility Wash=$4, Dry=$4 and Detergent=$2, was reasonable for me.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
For the places we visited outside zone 1, I rented a vehicle from Steve at Red Spot car rentals just a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Great service. Drive the Great Ocean Road and return through Colac. If travelling with kids, go to the Adventure Park in Geelong, see the fairy penguins at Phillip Island and stop at Warook Farm to feed the kangaroo on the way to Phillip Island.

Citadines is located fantastically on Bourke Street, with a back entrance to Little Collins Street All in all you cannot ask for better location in the City. It is also really well priced at the USD that we paid. The hotel is new so all facilities are new which was important to me. I was keen on getting an extra bed for my son, but that was an Extra AUD per night, which would have taken my room rate to 210, making it expensive. The hotel has a good self service laundry, which worked well. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in a quality hotel with a budget. But dont get the extras (such as the extra bed), as the extras make it as expensive as some of the better options available

it has very good hardware in the room.
however, i still got a few uncomfortable feeling in a short time.
1.we got the door card quickly when i checked in, but when we went into the room, found there is no sofa in the room, which did not match the picture of this kind of room while we booked online. after talked to receptionist, we got the expected room.
2. there is no paper card for requesting change bed sheet.
in general, it has very good service in all aspects.

its in the heart of the melbourne cbd, so it is close to most attractions

the hotel is in the heart of the melbourne cbd however it is still a solid 20mins walk or more from southern cross terminal (where the airport bus drops you off). aside from that the rooms are clean, plenty of light, tv has ipod connectivity. the hotel staff are attentitive and are quite quick to solve issues that you may have. for example my ipod dock was not working and they sent someone up within a few minutes.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Minutes walk from all the lane way cafes melbourne is known for and approx 10min walk to Federation square where there is a huge information booth to ask questions and collect brochures.

We booked citadines on bourke for a romantic weekend away for our anniversary.
Staff welcomed us with a room upgrade which was fantastic.Room was very spacious
and had a fantastic view of the city skyline.
Would definitely stay there on our next trip to melbourne.
