Had a great surprise when we first came into the room. Apartment was well-equipped with kitchenette, complete with oven, dishwasher and utensils. Rooms were clean and we had a 2-room apartment which provided enough privacy for couples but yet comfortable get-together in the living room.Bathroom was clean and complete with washing machine and dryer. Unfortunately there is no free wi-fi provided; otherwise I would always come back to City Edge for my Melbourne trips! Then again, you can find free wi-fi easily at the many cafes/restaurants around.

This was a very average place. Staff are just rude and very unhelpful. Apartment was ok but bed was small and seemingly well worn so a bit gross. Just did not enjoy this hotel at all.

Clean, Affordable, Convenient due to location
Apartment is centrally located, clean and at affordable rate. It is near to shopping and univeristies in the city

It is located next to a tram line and opposite a construction site. Noisy in the monring. Upon check in (Sunday 2pm), I discovered the window could not close properly and informed reception who logged it in the maintenance book. Next day (Monday), it was not fixed. On Tuesday, I rang reception and then someone fixed it that day.
New place but not properly maintained. The table was in the bedroom was broken and the freezer was not working. Lights in the bathroom and living room were blown.
Also oppsoite a pub.

Nice but due to problem not good impresssion left!

Overall first impressions were very good. Due to an unfortunate situation we have been left with a really low opinion of city edge apartments and won’t be back. Myself and my partner woke to the chair, my coat and the carpet soaking wet from a leak in the air-conditioned. When complained to reception they moved us to another room which was positive as I explained my partner had chronic asthma and was a major hazard to their health, furthermore the room smelt of wet dog due to the carpet being wet. However when we arrived in the new room and went to switch on the air-con the whole unit was broken. We talked to reception and they said that there was nothing more they could do as it was the weekend. Of course we were looking for some form of compensation. We were offered a 20% discount by reception; however when it came to checking out the reception said that they didn’t have authority to process this. This has left us with a really bad option of the City Edge Apartment customer service. If you are looking for good service go somewhere else! We are still waiting to hear back from the customer service in regards to anything.

Plus = centrally located, comfortable unit with kitchenette,
Minus = Noisy A/C Unit but useful in keeping out external city noise, could have done with a second room key, have to pay for WiFi.

A good stay, but it could be better. If they can fix these things, it would be awesome.
A real double bed - the room we stayed in had two single beds joined together, this was kinda annoying.
TV viewable from Bed - the room we stayed in had it stuck to the side, and when in bed it was 90 degree side ways, which was completely not viewable.
