Location was great,close to bars and clubs

Great location close to shops,pub and nightlife.
Also a short walk to the beach.
Handy location for sightseeing and not to far to the city centre,about a ten to fifteeen minute cab ride.
Rooms were very clean but small in size.
Staff were helpful and polite.
Overall an enjoyable stay.

Apart from the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night with no experienced staff to deal with it the hotel is really cool and situated right in the heart of St kilda, reminiscent of a boutique style LA motel

I actually ended up staying in three different rooms at the Cosmopolitan over a period of a week (not their fault, my crazy schedule). The Cosmo Petite was the nicest. All of them were roomy and well appointed with stylish furnishings. One of them was not set up for work (no desk and wired internet access socket in a strange place. One phone call got a desk and an extra long network cable in the room within 15 minutes.
This place is a great deal.

The hotel located in St. Kilda, a very good area in Melbourne. It is very close to the beach and to resturants. There is easy trasfortation to the city center so if you look for shopping it is a good choice.

I should say this hotel is comfy and the design is very boutique like -- Plus, the tram stations and the main streets of F&B are just within walking distance! Very convenient!
The Cons would be, you will have to check out by 10:00AM the next day -- Thus, no sleeping late on the previous night!
However, overall, I would still rate this hotel as something that can be introduced to friends -- for its location!
Restaurant Tip:
Donovans in St Kilda is a must try!
BIG Mouth in St Kilda also served up good steak!
