Good location, near Southern Cross rail and bus stations, with the latter providing shuttle bus links to the airport every 10 minutes. Tram stops 2 mns walk away.
24 hour reception and service.
Helpful staff
Comfortable beds and well-serviced en suite facilities. The decor and fittings in the budget rooms are a little faded and shabby. The Enterprize is an ideal choice for the budget-conscious traveller in that it provides affordable accommodation on the edge of Melbourne's central business and tourism district, where hotels can be quite expensive indeed. It is also ideally located for other transport links. You get what you pay for - fairly basic but clean and comfortable hotel accommodation.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Most things within easy reach.

staff were friendly , good point, they have luggage holding room as check out 11,00 a,m, and we had more walking to do, as lots to see. Just take a look at the old buildings. None as this is a budget hotel and I dont expect 5 star. Hotel is close to spencer street station, Outlet shopping, also walk to free circle tram lots of stops you can get on and off for main attractions, This hotel is close to crown casino for top restaurants and lots of fun for gambling, Great position, will be back, good value for money..
Shopping Tip : walk to spencer street, catch no 70 tram to swan street Richmond, great shopping, .

value for money Decor and fittings a little tired in places. As a UK visitor to Australia on a reasonably tight budget, I found the Enterprize a good deal. I had two stays there, and found my accommodation there basic but clean and comfortable. The proximity to the Southern Cross rail and bus stations makes for handy links to the airport via the bus shuttle which runs every 10 or 15 minutes.
The hotel also has more spacious, de-luxe rooms for those wanting a little extra in the way of comfort and amenities.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Good location.

The position across from the station and close to the free tram stop.Staff was friendly and welcoming.
The cleaning ladies were tops and fun and very helpful. The linen was clean and crisp, the beds were good and firm.We liked the inner court. TV did not work. We had no room to open our suitcases. The heater could not be turned off,we were boiling. The juglead was to short for the powerpoint ,we also needed a lead for the table lamp. The expelair in the bathroom was so noisy,like a jetplane taking off.We did not have any chairs to sit on and we had to sit on our beds ,reading etc. We are an elderly couple ,have travelled a lot and this has been been by far our worst experience. Even the cleaner knew that it was a bad,bad room. !!Even the headboard from the bed fell down as it was fastened on the wall!!
Also please have the food inspected in your restaurant,where we ate both nights. We both enden up with unhappy tummies.!! We will not recommend your hotel to any of our friends here in NZ.
We have never ever complained as we are very easy going ,but I would like anybody in charge to have a look in room 308.
It is a great pity this happened as we visit at least once a year,Kind regards H. Munneke

New section was nice and clean, staff very professional. Staying on the 6th floor we had to walk up the last 3 flights of stairs because the lift only goes to level 5.No so good for old blokes with crook knees. Is near the King cross station and the suttle bus for the airport. The hotel is perfectly located. Near the King cross train station, near the shuttle bus to the airport, near a tourist free tram station so from the hotel you can move freely everywhere. The staff of the people is very friendly and they help to you to book the tours or to indicate where you can find anything in the city. But the hotel is a little bit old. Anyway the hotel room is ok and confortable.

Front desk pleasant, breakfast was very good. Needs an overall face lift Rooms a little small, difficult to utilise wardrobe crammed to near bed stand when trying to access hanging clothes etc....showers where cold both mornings,Televisions in rooms need major update...lifts need a face lift, side panels and carpet very drab & old looking, basically it needs an overall face in all areas including the foyer and check in desk

Very kind and nice menager and owner of hotel.Very carness and politeness of them. No wireless inhotel and very expensive internet use!Little bit noisy some rooms. Very good location and near every place get quickly or by walk or by trams...In the heart of CBD of Melbourne can reach the Shuttle Bus and Train station opposite...Collins Street and shopping places ,Aquarium...lots of Food stores for every valet.Good prices value for services.
I had lucky time to sta at AFL...good athmosphere in and out.

Clean hotel in Melbourne CBD. The courtyard gives a distinctive look and feel to the place. Gives great value for money. Courtyard rooms could be a little larger. Some guests may experience poor cellular network connection in the room located on the lower floors of the courtyard. The hotel certainly gives great value for money, especially considering the fact that it's located right in the central business district of Melbourne. Tram and train stations are conveniently located nearby, and it's just across the road from Southern Cross Station; great when you are travelling by rail or air. The only disadvantages are that the courtyard rooms are quite small and guests on the lower floors may experience little or no mobile coverage.
Definitely highly recommended for those who are travelling on a budget but still require comfort, privacy and convenience not necessarily available in a backpacker's lodge.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : From the main entrance of the hotel, walk downhill towards the corner of Spencer and Flinders. Then, take the free City Circle tram from the station located there. It will allow you to see the major attractions in downtown Melbourne for free.

Fab staff, great location for Southern Cross Station. The rooms were neat and faced an open courtyard Very small rooms, and very hot for some reason! We needed one extra day in Melbourne and chose the Enterprise since it was so near where we'd be leaving from and seemed a deal. We're hardly in our rooms - so it was perfectly fine for us. The staff was very friendly and provided little treats like coffee, tea and cookies. They were also great about storing our luggage on both end of our stay.
Travel tip : Shopping outlets nearby

Great Location,friendly helpful staff,comfortable room and great price,late checkout. No windows or fresh air in room. The Enterprize Hotel Melbourne is in a top location for a very affordable price.The hotel is within easy walking to shops as well as the train station and tram stops.The staff are very friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable and spacious.All the great sights of Melbourne are an easy walk from the hotel and they also arrange drop off to the airport with the shuttle bus,very convenient.Forgot to mention that check out is 11.00 rather than the usual 10.00 so it is more relaxed and easy going.
Shopping Tip : Great shopping at factory outlet shopping mall just down the road.

Enterprize is real value for money. It isn't deluxe but it is clean with a friendly helpful staff on hand. Can be noisy in the lower floors. Ask for a top floor room as they are very new. We stayed there because we were given the tip off that The Enterprize would suit our needs for the weekend. It didn't disappoint. The rooms are modern if you get the refurbished ones and the rates are very reasonable given the location. The trams and the trains are virtually at the front door. We will stay there again.
Shopping Tip : DFO and Harbourtown are within walking distance.

Being able to park under the Hotel was a blessing and the location is fair. The breakfast arrangements were bad and the staff rude. The location is good though.

Rooms are a little old. Hotel is located in a very strategic location. 2 mins away from Southern-cross train station. Walking distance to places of attraction(eg Melb Aquarium, DFO).
Hotel itself is currently undergoing some renovations, thus there was some noise during my stay. However noise level was bearable. Hotel itself was a little old and so were the rooms.
Hotel amenities were sufficient.
Staffs were very friendly and helpful as well. Was able to have an early check-in as my flight arrived in the morning.
My stay was well-worth and i would stay at this hotel again!
