good location, large room, helpful staff, storage room
We had an executive room with breakfast included.
The room is large with a kingsize bed but no view (roof)
The hotel is ideally located: in the heart of the city with Bourke street mall one block away (the fastest way to get there is to pass through David Jones). Shops, restaurants, sightseeings are all in walking range of the hotel but you can also take the trams or the buses on Elizabeth st.
From the airport, take the skybus. Then a free shuttle will drop you on front of the hotel. If you take a return trip, don't forget to book the shuttle at least 24h before departure (we forgot!)
The continental breakfast is simple but it is enough to start the day as there are a lot of great restaurants in Melbourne.
We will definitely come back to Melbourne and stay at the Causeway.
Travel tip : You must try the following restaurants: Movida (tapas ) in Hosier lane close to Federation square, Gingerboy in Crossley st close to chinatown, Red spicy road (in Mckillop st and Donovan's (st Kilda, on the beach)
Shopping: there is nice little shop next door to the hotel (expensive but girls will love it)

Good Location to get around the city and shopping.
breakfast was ok but can be boring
Perfect location!
Very close to Flinders station and the shopping district of the city. Building itself was old, but well renovated, and room was very clean and tidy.
Restaurant Tip : close to a typical image of Melbourne cafe venue

Convenient location.
Breakfast room.
New restaurant.
Efficient friendly staff
Received morning paper on only the first day of stay.
Bath towels are a little thin.
The hotel is conveniently located within easy walking distance to entertainment, eating out, cultural and sporting facilities.
We have stayed previously and see no reason to not stay again.
Rooms are large enough for shorter stays.
Beds are a good size and mattresses not too soft.
Very convenient to have the restaurant next door and be able to charge to room.
Breakfast was more than adequate

The hotel is located right in the heart of the City, although you need to walk 100 meters alley to get thru there. It is a cute and cozy hotel for a couple. The room is modest in its furnishing but have enough space for the luggages. The hotel served continental beakfast, don't miss the fresh guava juice.
House keeping needs more improvement.
Melbourne is a nice place to visit, we liked very much the Zoo and there are a lot of food shops in the area. The hotel had an edge over other competitors because of its location and proximity to MALLS and RESTAURANTS.
Shopping Tip : A lot of off winter sales

The rooms were lovely and well equipped. The breakfast was excellent and easy to access. The staff were very helpful with directions and bookings. We were very pleased with the accomodations over all.
The lobby is painted a depressing battleship grey. There was no one to help us with our bags as the young woman at the desk was alone with no backup. There is only one elevator
This little boutique hotel is located between Swanston and Elizabeth streets on Little Collins right in the heart of the shopping district of Melbourne with easy access to everything. Although the lobby is small and non-descript, the rooms are clean and well-equipped. Everything worked as it should. There was an iron and ironing board, teapot for making coffee or tea, and a minibar. Flat screeen TV and cable service was excellent. The breakfast was plentiful and good quality. There was a small but well equipped fitness center up the back stairs from the 5th floor. It was very good value for the money.
Restaurant Tip : The little wine bar and restaurant immediately adjacent to the hotel was lovely. Food was excellent. Wine selection was great.

Very central but not noisy
Nobody available to resolve a problem at night
A comfortable hotel and very convenient for the city centre. Our bathroom door became locked at 1.00 am and there was no-one available to get it open. We had to use another room for bathrooom and toilet and had to leave clothes etc. behind to be posted home
