wall between rooms are thin
Because of noise complaints on other customers' feedback, I asked to have a room facing the backstreet when I checked in. There was not much noise, except that I would hear people walking on the upper floor, and TV in the next room. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is too small to move around. For this size of room, a narrower bed makes better sense.
Nightlife Tip : Don't expect any night life in the neigbourhood.

Cheap, central, Close to public transport
no where in the room to sit,no clock, thin walls
the hotel sophia was overall a reasonable experience for the price with minor faults. If you get a noisy neighbour you can hear most through the walls, I had one for 1 night only out of 5. There was no where to sit in the room but a bed . I was suprised that there was no clock, 1st hotel I had stayed in that didn't have one. I would recommend it for 1 or 2 nights if you would be out all day. Easy to walk to train bus or tram.

Location of hotel is very easy to find out if you catch skybus.( Try to buy the return tickey of skybus for saving more money , single = au$16 ,return =au$26 )
Sorpia hotel locats in central city,time for free breakfast is very flexable.there is a lot of different food and drinks for the customers to enjoy,it is a brand new hotel and just take a few mintus to the train station and skybus station,city circle tram (free charge )just beside the hotel, I will be in the hotel for next vacation.
Travel tip : Skybus is a very powerful tool from melbourne airport to melbourne city for visiter
