my wife and i enjoyed melbourne though i would'nt stay at this hotel again the room was small and i feel over priced for what you get and we had no view at all the staff were friendly but thats not enough to make me come back

the hotel is in china town, so it's very convenient to get food. many restaurants near by. and the location is good to shopping too. the hotel room is clearn but very small. the smallest one i ever stay in australia. no free wifi is also bad to me. it shares the same reception hall with another hotel, i took the wrong lift at first, but the room card can be used in the wrong lift, strange.
Shopping Tip:
There are many shops nearby, like QV is a good choice. And also Myer.

Great location, helpful staff, sub-par room

I stayed at this hotel for a conference. The location was excellent as it was within walking distance of pretty much everywhere in the city. Also, staff was friendly and helpful.
However, the room itself was small and not very inviting. Hallways were dimly lit and felt old. They did provide small creature comforts such as a kettle and coffee/tea, but the overall presentation was lacking. Considering it was one of the lower priced hotels in Melbourne, I wasn't too surprised.
Overall, it was sufficient for my purposes, but travelers expecting a bit of luxury may be disappointed.

the staff were extremely helpful. the room itself was an adequate size. the bed was comfie but the shower was fantastic - best ever. location of hotel was a bit close to china town with so many people but you could not hear any noise. would definitely stay there again and recomeend to others.
Nightlife Tip:
don't expect any quiet times on streets - very like a mardi gras every night

Great location but small rooms

The hotel location is great. It is just next to the China town so you can find a wide variety of Asian food around. It is also within the city area.
However, hotel rooms (standard twin room for me) are relatively small. Although the beds are small, other necessities are well equipped - wardrobe, hangers, iron and iron board, fridge,tv, clean ensuite, etc
I will recommend my friends to stay in this hotel next time when they visit Melbourne.

good locations, located in the city center. it's convenience to go other places from the hotel. staff have good service. but rooms are rather old. bathrooms and bathtub are small. quite disappointed with the bed for a superior king room as it's 2 single bed joined instead of one king bed.
