friendly staff, helpful staff, clean, good size rooms,transport availablity good
I found the Parkview Hotel very clean, with helpful staff,our room was well kept, with our requests they were attended to quickly.Transport acseses was in walking distance which suited us very well overall i was very happy with the Parkview.

The staff on reception were courteous and welcoming.
The room was excellent with a beautiful big bed, a lovely view looking from the sea to the CBD of Melbourne, and there was a walk-in wardrobe, bath (with plug) and a good big TV.
Can't think of any. We parked in front of the hotel but parking was available underneath the hotel.
Parkview Hotel was great value for money through Agoda. We live in country Victoria and it was a real pleasure to have a very comfortable, yet quiet hotel with a beautiful view from the 8th floor, and to be so close to everything in Melbourne town - you only had to jump on a tram and be in the city proper in a few minutes. We engjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone. Because of a bike tournement, the hotel was full but there was no inconvenience at any time.
Restaurant Tip : We had coffee in a coffee lounge in Commercial Road nearby.

The staff were polite but, I got the opinion that they would rather be somewhere else. The rooms were large and comfortable.
I found that the location of the hotel good.
The hallway leading to the rooms have a musky smell could do with a fragrance spray.
The breakfast was very limited in its choices; do not ask for an omelette.
Staffs knowledge of the CBD and the use of public transport is very questionable. I expect a little bit more from the staff, as when you’re coming to a place that you are unfamiliar with and therefore do not know where you are going you expect to be able to rely on the directions and information provided by the hotel staff in which your staying.
I did not use many of the hotel facilities; I had breakfast in the Lime Café, the service was slow and shocking, I requested a savoury omelette one morning and it was as if I was asking for their fist born!
I was very disappointed with the knowledge of the staff regarding the CBD and the use of public transport. Considering the location of the hotel and the fact that they sold public transport tickets I would have expected more, instead of just jump in a taxi and they will take you.
Travel tip : Public transport is right at the door busses and trams to get into the city along St Kilda Rd.
