Opposite Southern Cross Railway Station.
Within walking distance to the Casino. The only problem was the television reception. Free to air channels were unavailable due to interference. I booked two twin rooms for four family members visiting from the UK. They travelled to Melbourne on the train and had one night at the Hotel. They found the Hotel very central to the places they wanted to go. The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. After their nights accomodation they wished to spend the next day sightseeing and the Hotel staff were very happy to look after their luggage until their return that evening.They would reccomend this Hotel , and we will be staying there for our future visits to Melbourne.
Hotel Feature Tip : This Hotel is directly opposite Southern Cross Railway Station. Visit Melbourne by train and avoid car parking problems!

best spot, close to bus terminal, trams , casino. room 114 is close to the shaft, very noisy! Overall the hotel is very good , room was clean , very good service . Hotel is very close to transport and center of the city as well as the casino. If I stay in Melbourne again, Batman's Hill will be my first choice. You just have to check that the room you get is not close to the shaft, might be a bit unpleasent when you try to sleep, even with your window closed.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Close to the casino , aquarium, transport , shopping. Everything you need at your fingertip.

Convenient location, very close to Central Train Station, but there's no attractions or sightseeings near by. Very poor service, and there's an only receptionist one at a time at the counter.
Poor equipments such as old elevators.
This is a cheap but poor hotel. The quality of service as well as hotel equipment are far below average. The only benefit of this hotel might be the location (near train station) and price.
The building is very old. Many of its equipments are needed to be replaced. Elevators, for example, are quite old. There's no open or close button. Everytime I use the elevator, I feel very unconfortable.
In addition, the room facilities are also poor. There's no any general control panel controlling air conditioner, TV, or light. The telephone is the same kind you will see in your home! It should be more functions. There should be some additional buttons such as connecting to receptionist.
Besides that, shower gel and shampoo are terrible! The smell is very pungent! You will never use them when you take a shower. And they won't provide you toothpaste and tooth brush, as well as slippers.
In conclusion, this hotel is unconfortable for you to stay. It would be a choice only when you don't care the queality of service and confortness, and what you only want is low price and convenient location.

very well located, public access very easy room very small, strong smell of cigarette, few options for tv channels. the hotel has to renovate all the rooms, not only some of them. Restaurant Tip : try all sorts of asian food at Swantsons street, take the free tram and the free tourist bus for a ride in town.

- Close to transportation to travel to / 2 back of the airport - near the train station, the tram stops - near food court, large rooms - full size equipment. - May not have a room with good view should inform staff prior to check in - not people pay attention to customers? The hotel is quite good. Travel more convenient. The rest here. Can go to in melbourne just walk across the street. It's Southern Cross bus station which provides both Bus and rail car and the nearest ้ point tram stops from the hotel in a relatively. quiet Intermediates; Quite perfect. Enhancements to the use of ณื a comprehensive Bar Coffe.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Sunday tickets can be purchased. Special bus price (3.10 AUS $) for any passenger car, how many cycles have within 1 day within urban Melbourne Southern Cross station on the opposite side.
