Disappointment
Friendly staff but cannot assist

The room is small not fit for a couple because the queen sized bed takes up the whole space. Housekeeping left alot to be desired because daily reminder for cleaning room was needed. Somewhat disappointed because was told by reception the room has a view but all we saw was concrete balcony!

generally good experience but was disappoiunted by the small size of the room, with walls hiding behind curtains having holes and wallpaper hanging off the wall. lower floors mean noisier traffic because the hotel is on main flinders street. the internet access is not free so don't fall for the 'first 3 hours free' nonsense

What i found good about this hotel was its location.Close to Etihad stadium MCG,the casino,Southern Cross & Flinders sts stations also lots of nice restraunts along Southbank.The rooms were ok nice bar area and the hotel is such a nice old building.Staff were friendly and helpful.I would stay at this hotel again!

there are fast foods available within 10 minutes walk from the hotel. walking distance to crown hotel and casino. the room is small but is clean and attached with 32" lcd tv for viewing olympic 2012. overall rating is 8/10.

the location is very good. near federal square,free circle line tram station, flinder street train station. the restaurant food is very delicious and service is very sweet. but the room is a bit small, the layout is not so good, the mattress is too soft. we did not have a good sleep.

staff were very friendly and helpful we arrived at the hotel at 9am as we had an early flight and our room was ready for us, they also gave us a free late check out till 3 as our flight wasn't until 6pm.. really comfy beds, great showers... the only thing was you could hear other peoples doors when they closed but besides that no complaints
Restaurant Tip:
We were here for our anniversary and went to Vue De Monde for dinner it is extremely expensive but worth every cent! cant wait to go back :-)

the hotel is set in a very good location, close to the train station as well as tram stops, and a walkable distance to the melbourne aquarium. the rooms are clean and very comfortable, as well as with very helpful and friendly staff. overall a comfortable stay with easy access to transportation, right in the city centre.

I've stayed here before, and I'll continue staying here. I absolutely loved the service. We had a third person with us and they comfortably made adjustments to our booking and catered for our third guest.
Drinks at the bar were really nice. A very nice place to chill out if not planning a big night out.
Highly recommend!
