Good location - easy to walk into centre of town and right on the doorstep to Chinatown
Room and bathroom a bit small but still comfortable
The hotel is nicely decorated and clean. Location is the best thing – right on the doorstep of Chinatown (lots of food) and close enough to walk to the city centre, a few major theatre venues and lots of major tram routes within walking distance. Rooms are a bit small by Melbourne standard but manageable. Staff were friendly. No complaints overall.

Warm welcome reception and provide good advice and help.
Room service, esp mate provided room cleaning too late except for check-out date.
Soap, Shampoo, Conditioner and Body lotion were provided only 1 set per 3 guests.
I visit Melbourne first time for attending conference at this hotel so it was easy for me to live here and not necessary to travel.
Anyway I booked 1 room for 3 person for 4 nights. My room was too small and had no space for us compared with the hotel in Thailand that have a lot of space.
Room service was also too awful because mate provided us only 1 set of soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion.
Man and Asian woman at reception provided us warm welcome and showed service mind when we asked for help.
Next time if I visit Melbourne again I may try other hotel cheaper than this.

This Hotel (like the one in on Pitts Street,Sydney) is smack in the middle of every tourist dream. I could not want for more on my budget. I truly enjoyed my stay here.
The carpets needs to be changed more often. Also, all Ridges in the Hotel chain should be linked electronically. While at the Ridges in Sydney the previous week, I tried to get the staff to confirmed my booking with the other Ridges Hotel in Melbourne but was told that they do not have links with other Hotels in the chain.
Having stayed at the Ridges in Sydney the week before, it had prepared me on what to expect at the other Ridges (Exibition Street, Melbourne). Overall, I was very satisfied. The staff were exceptionally helpful from the moment I arrived. However, attempts to book a room in Ridges Hotel, Hobart was unsuccessful.
Restaurant Tip : I found the location of the hotel afforded me the chance to sample every imaginable cuisine. If on a budget, public transportation was extremely reliable and reasonably inexpensive.
