perfect business stay. friendly staff, thoughtful check-in staff. nothing was too much for the staff that attended to my short stay. weary and jet-lagged from overseas, the staff realized that i was out on my feet and checked me in early, assisted to my room where blissful oblivion overtook me in the most comfortable king sized bed i have ever slept in.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The Glass backed elevator gives a heck of a perspective to the open area... all the way to the top floor. This is a place to visit for sure guys, almost the equal of the Grand Hyatt in Beijing.

there was only one elevator working at the time, i believe the other elevator was either being repaired or serviced, when I stayed there for 2 1/2 days and it was a bit frustrating.

the hotel is in a good location and the rooms are very well appointed. the service was very efficient, too.
Travel tip:
The hotel gives $10 credit on your food/beverage account for each day you don't have the room serviced. You still get the basics, though (bins emptied, complimentary toiletries topped up etc).

Take advantage of the Sunday and Monday cheap rate

Since I was on a holiday by myself I thought id move hotels mid trip to get value for money. I stayed Sunday and Monday nights and ended up paying a low a night for this 5 star hotel. Was great. Thoroughly loved the stay. Will be looking out for special rates again in the future for this hotel.
Didn't use room service or Harry's Bar. Thought id cheap it out at Hungry Jacks so cant rate it
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Use the Skybus to and from Southern Cross Station, take advantage of the skybus transfer bus to and from the hotel to Southern Cross station which is included.
Use the free circle route tram to get around town during the day.

I had a terrific time staying here while visiting Melbourne earlier this month. The location is great as there is a lot to do within walking distance. Very centra.
The staff are very helpful and friendly and I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a comfotable stay in a central location for many of Melbourne's sights.

I had a very pleasant, although a short stay in this hotel. Suite was very clean and amenities were all in order. Friends stayed in Grand Hyatt across the street. Seeing their room which were in the same price bracket, i would definitely choose Stamford over.
Staff was excellent very helpful and made me feel very welcome. Would definitely stay again
