The hotel located in the central city location close to all shopping area. Except the carpet looked bit old in hotel lobby all other facilities and services both rated as excellent for us!

All great, with the exception of slow room make-up on Sunday July 2. We left room at 9 40 am and the room was not made up when we returned about 3pm.

Lovely Heritage Hotel

the service was great. although i originally booked a traditional queen room as my daughter decided to stay with me there was no problem upgrading to a king twin room. the atmosphere was quiet and elegant, the service from staff was always helpful.the central location meant everything was in walking distance but transport was very convenient if needed.a very enjoyable stay.coming from christchurch the beautiful heritage quality was appreciated as we have lost so many of our own.

Our stay at the Windsor was lovely. Our Superior King room was particularly good, and the staff were very helpful. The Cricketer's Bar was particularly good.

it's located in melbourne cbd. we walked everywhere within cbd. there are trams and train stations nearby. afternoon tea at this hotel is recommended. cricket bar located within the hotel looked really good, but it is closed on sunday, so we couldn't go. all the fittings in the room and the actual hotel were gorgeous. we loved pianists playing in the reception area. fitness facility was a little diappointing.
Shopping Tip:
Alley ways in Melbourne are so cool. Fanky shops and lovely cafes.

i booked the hotel for my parents to stay, thinking old luxury with a piece of royal history. but the hotel was very dated, both decor and furnishings. on arrival my parents were given a lower floor room, tiny and stunk of the kitchen. they were then put into a bigger room, but was still smaller than what the agoda room specified and it was a queen size bed, less than what we paid for. my parents also mentioned that the hotel front of house manager was rude and appeared particularly prejudice against asian travellers.
over all the experience was very disappointing. given we did pay a five star rate, the service and product offered fell quite a bit below expectation. i will be choosing a proper modern five star for their next stay.

Beautiful hotel, best service in town
We are always recognised when we return. It is the only hotel we stay in Melbourne

We love this hotel. Close to the theatre, and always very comfortable. We have stayed in the superior room, and also the King George V suite. This time it was a short stay so we stayed in a traditional room. Even though it was small, it was very comfortable, with a good size bathroom.
We will always go back.
