great location but small rooms

small room but it's enough because we spent all day outside. we need room including breakfast with cheap prize. also we need more information about the use of room's telephone. but the service is good, esppecially check in&out very quickly.

Location is very convenient. Buffet breakfast was a disaster - they ran out of hot & cold food more than once, ran out of cutlery, glasses, juice and when the food did come out not well cooked and no taste. The best part was the toast that you cooked yourself.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Eat out for breakfast. Many cafes with value breakfast for good price in the city.

the stay was pretty good and the staff were friendly. they allowed me to check in early as i arrive into melbourne at 7am and went straight to the hotel. they were accommodating as initially i was given a twin bed but being alone, i asked for a queen and they changed it.

We stayed in travelodge for 4 nights. It was an excellent experience. The location at southbank is really perfect for us with a walking distance to main attractions or to the station.The room was tiny but clean, with an useful kitchenette. We had hot water for shower as well as the kitchenette. Room service was good. Most of the staff at the reception were not that welcoming but really helpful and professionally efficient, so that was good enough for us.In the lobby, there is an angle where you may find leaflets or brochures for day tour information as well as some coupons.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Surprisingly found that the Eureka Skydeck 88 was just next door to the hotel.

room very comf/clean. excellent location.staff very friendly/helpfull. 5mins. walk to casino/city centre/museum etc etc. i would most definately use this hotel on my next visit.public transport free bus,trains,2mins walk.lots of eaterys 7elevens on every corner. nothing missinf from this location
Shopping Tip:
free bus leaves every 1/2 hr on next st, to hotel. jump on jump off at your leasure.harbour town all outlets clothing.jump back on free bus to your hotel.walk into city centre 5min. walk.

Functional hotel close to Southbank
being close to the southbank food plaza and restaurants. being just 100 metres or so from the yarra river which is a very relaxing setting. being an easy walk to most of the central business district, sporting complexes and art gallery. the room was clean and bright. the room has a modern feel.

we were en route from a holiday in tasmania back home to bangkok so wanted a not too expensive overnight hotel. the travelodge southbank hotel is just that. the reception service was efficient. the room was adequate in size and very clean and bright. we went for a walk along the banks of the yarra in the evening and ate at one of the restaurants.

We have stayed at the Travelodge five times and always had a room up high. This time we were given room 106 never again all we herd was the front door open and close below us. We will ask for a higher floor next time. The staff were excellent and the room was very clean. We love staying at the Travelodge as it is very close to everthing in the centre of Melbourne.
