Lovely S/C accommodation on Derwent river.
Luxurious immaculate cottage with all travellers could want/need in large beautiful property.

we got much more than expected at shingles riverside cottages, outstanding accommodation, impeccably clean and beautifully and luxuriously appointed inside whilst the outdoors was truly lovely. we stayed in the willows, a one bedroom cottage, semi detached, but private and with independant facilities. large lounge area with a single bed, couches, coffee table, big tv, cd and dvd players and cds and dvds also. adjoining the lounge, the double bedroom area was next to a large, separate bathroom. shower only but very roomy. had large built-in wardrobes and vanity, and plenty of towels and 2 clothes airers/dryers, ironing board, iron and hair-dryer. guest robes were provided too. there was a modern miele washing machine in the very large, attractive kitchen, which had a microwave, toaster, jug, 2 hotplate benchtop appliance, excellent crockery and glassware, 3 seats and large round table. a generous amount of basic tea, coffee and breakfast consumables were supplied as well as fresh milk, juice, bread and butter in the frig. very generous supplies. a patio immediately outside the kitchen, expressly for that cottage only, had an outdoor dining setting and a large barbeque. free car parking was in front of the cottage door.
the property had many lovely, peaceful and private areas and backed onto the derwent river with an l shape outdoor boardwalk area, with seating scattered about enticingly. we had a drink down there each evening and it was serene and calming. the whole property has lovely old bits and pieces collected by the owner, arranged casually everywhere which are like discovering treasure and enhance the gardens.
new norfolk, and the areas around, are wonderful to explore and diverse. recommend bothwell, a rare old town with many lovely buildings to discover.
finally, the owners veronica and john were great hosts.perfect. welcoming, helpful and very interesting, but not intrusive.we had an excellent stay at the shingles and wholeheartedly recommend
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Mt Fields National Park a must to visit. Historic Bothwell is unique.

很好找，小镇的边上，风景优美，屋外就是小河。非常安静。房间和五星级酒店一样好，一定也不像motel。早餐也在房间冰箱里准备好了，自己动手就能吃到。下次绝对会再来！
