We stayed in a budget family room for one night with with my parents. The room was basic but had everything you needed. The furnishings were a bit old, but comfortable. We did find a scorpion on the carpet.

Good Location,budget price,but no Sunday services
We had lovely garden/ patio, the room was spacious , ample parking and a nice restaurant

Arrived on Saturday, got easy parking, the resturant was open and the room was good, the garden view was great and got directions to the Pemberton lavender and Dair Farm and the wineries from helpful staff members. However, were not informed that everything shuts on Sunday- so no staff were avilable, the resturant was closed, we had no microwave to heat the stuff we bought from the supermarket and the kangaroo we saw in the garden seemed to be hopping on the roof at night. Luckily, we left on Monday morning, happy for a restful Saturday but tired from an eventful Sunday!
Shopping Tip:
Try the local Trout at the restaurant, it's delicious and the Sunday morning berry pancakes at the nearby lavender and berry farm - truly dleicious

great location close to the wilderness

the town is very small, but the hotel is very close to the big trees. the rooms are spacious, furniture outdated, but clean. the nature surrounding compensates for the cheap hotel. we stayed one night and it is not recommended for longer. some rooms don't have air conditioner
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
go and climb the Big Trees- there are 3 in the are which you could try. unforgettable experience!

We stayed in a basic room, which is a lttle tired looking now, but clean & comfortable. It had air conditioning but it was very noisy so we ended up managing without when we slept.
Restaurant Tip:
Go to Sadie's restaurant for you evening meal.
