A bit rundown. Everything is kinda old. Need to pay AUD 10 a day or parking.
Restaurant Tip : At the back of the Hotel on Hay Street, there is a chinese restaurant called Munch Terrace where you can find Malaysian and Spore food. There is a place for great breakfast just a few doors away called...Lunchbar.Value for money and great food.

It was clean and had a 24 hour checkin (we didn't arrive till 1:30am)
The whole place including the foyer, lifts, corridors and rooms were well past their use by dates. It was very old and needs to be completely renovated. I wouldn't pay the charges that is very high.
Travel tip : Try another hotel

Fairly central location
Room good size
Free Internet access
Hotel is very dated
No safe in room
We just stayed one night at this hotel. It is in a fairly central location (about a 15 min walk to city centre and main shopping area) but just be warned it is very dated inside. Our room was actually a decent size and bathroom had a shower and bath. Also you get free internet connection in the room. Didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on food.
Restaurant Tip : There's a Dome cafe just 5 mins walk for the hotel which was great for breakfast.

- nice staff
- located in the heart of Perth
- quiet
- good air con
- old spring mattresses... a real pain to sleep on those...
- dirty carpet in room and lobby
- only 11 channels on cable, and most are just plainly boring...
I booked for a room for one adult: they game a bed with twin beds.. this was a bit disappointing, but well, didn't want to go with the hassle of changing room the following day, so I stayed in the same room.
They should change their beds by the way.

-Location is good enough.
-Internet works good and is fast.
-Spacious and clean room.
-Good "In hotel" food to go service.
-Separate shower and bathtub.
-Quiet and calm neighbourhood.
-Rooms feel a bit outdated and would need some renovation.
-Not so many TV channels (about 10).
-Not so many pubs close to the hotel.
I'm satisfied with my stay at this hotel. The location isn't right in the centre of Perth, but still close enough, about 12 minutes walking to the Hay/Pier intersection. Internet works and is fast. It's not wireless which I think is good, since it means that it's faster and more stable. You can borrow a long network cable and power adapter for free in the reception. The rooms are spacious and clean and the the neighbourhood is quiet and calm. Good with an, in hotel, food "to go" service, where you order food and they call you back when it's done (which takes at most like 10-15 minutes). There are separate shower and bathtub and the staff is friendly and helpful.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Most tour companies have pickup points at this hotel or the hotel across the street which is good.

Friendly and prompt service, clean and comfortable room.
For shoppers, it is a little far from the conveniences and street malls of Hay and Murray Streets.
My husband and I stayed 5 days at the Perth Ambassador Hotel. We find the front office personnel attentive and friendly. The room is basic but clean and comfy. Service was prompt - our bathroom light was fixed promptly. Same goes for the lifts which broke down one morning -they were promptly repaired. Overall, we find the staff courteous and helpful. It is conveniently located with a supermarket, convenience stores, cafes, restaurants and bus stops around the corner in Hay Street. However, if shopping is one of your main activities, I would suggest you choose some other hotels nearer the CBD.
Nightlife Tip : Pubs and a BWS (Beer Wine Spirits) store are found a short walk behind the hotel near Hay Street.

The size of the room / location is close to city comforts
The rooms are spacious and fairly priced, clean. The kindness of the staff answered. Conveniently located near the city. It was very convenient to rent a car next to the office SURIFUTI it.
