Location, pool was ok, but check out time too early to benefit!

Old, worn decor; really, really needs refurbishing. Reception staff on arrival rather unfriendly and unhelpful when we asked if there was a nicer room (bed supposed to be queen size- double).

I booked last minute to stay at The Kings, Perth, my booking was based on the location and website's photographs. On arrival we discovered that the photographs were an unfair representation of the hotel to date which was; old, the rooms need refurbishing as all fixtures and fitting were worn, old, dilapidated or damaged etc. When I called reception to ask if there were any rooms which had been refurbished or had a larger bed (we had requested queen size and the bed was a double) the receptionist was very short with me and offered no assistance. I shall not recommend nor stay there myself again.

This hotel would suit people who want central Perth accommodation at reasonable cost but are not too concerned about high standards. The breakfast selection was good and the room comfortable.

Hotel Feature Tip : The hotel provides an internet station in the foyer at $8 per hour. One block nearer town, turn right and find the backpackers centre which provides Internet facilities much cheaper.
