Refurbished in 2008 in a contemporary design manner, this property in Perth's CBD is close to shopping and entertainment. Spacious guest rooms and new furnishings make for a sophisticated mid-city stay at the Mercure Hotel, less than a ten-minute walk from the train station and ferries. The hotel's position on Irwin Street makes it convenient to the Hay Street and Murray Street malls where guests can make use of the city's department stores and an array of pubs and restaurants. Also the recent recipient of a facelift is the hotel's rooftop area, featuring a heated pool and spa and sunny open terrace, while a similarly remodeled bar provides a cool environment for aperitifs. Good central hotel close to all amenities. Good Pool, Spa and Sauna. Nice restaurant with an acquarium which sectioned of the dining room to give an intimate feel to the area. First room alocated disappointing. Bath tub was old and cracked. Bed was not well presented. Facilities a little on the shabby side. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Mercure after staff had upgraded my initially alloted room which had a cracked bathtub and poorly presented bed to a better room in the renovated section of the hotel.When I had alerted staff of this problem they acted quickly to rectify the problem in a freiendly, efficient manner. I would reccomend that visitors request the renovated wing for their stay. The chefs inhouse beef pie was delicious.

Clean Room, friendly staff, central position none really apart from a lack of bottle opener for the minibar We have stayed in Mercure hotels many times especially in France and have become accustomed to a fairly high standard. The Perth Mercure Hotel did not dissapoint us being typical of the excellent service we have come to expect from Accor Hotels. We had flown in from Hong Kong arriving late in the evening, tired after our eight hour flight and needing a comfortable bed for the night. Our stay was most agreeable enabling us to leave our luggage at the hotel during the day whilst we explored the city before travelling on to our sons home at Freemantle in the evening.
